What Pen Did You Get Today?

A NOS Parker 50 Falcon Flighter was in today's mail. I like this pen a lot. Even though it's a slim pen, I find it very comfortable to hold and it has a unique, very smooth, unibody nib. See Ol' Griz's review of the poor man's Parker 71. I may do my own review because it's such a cool pen.

Not sure whether "get" means "in the hand" or "in the mail". Going with the latter, I disobeyed the 51 Borg Queen (don't rat me out!!!) and, on a lark, bit on the Fleabay penfish sucker lure below.

It is my first Wahl. 3 3/4 inch with #2 nib. Probably the sac is shot, and having it replaced will cost me twice what I'm paying for the pen. Then again, I can try to do it myself, as I already have a screwdriver and 24 ounce ball peen hammer. Anyway, it impressed me as a Kaweco Sport, 70 years ago! :P Of course, if it has a wonderfully flexy nib, it could be the start of yet another irresistible addiction. Help me, Mr. Wizard!!! :D

A black Pilot Custom 74 SFM (soft fine-medium). It'll take some cleaning to get the flow consistent but should be writing well by the weekend. :)

Tannhauser,

Which nib did you get? I want to get one from him with a gold crisp italic 1.1 mm. How long did it take? Have you inked it yet?

Fine nib. It writes like I'm writing on air. :cloud9:

hi,

today i received a pen made for me by scott at only one creation. it is a piston filler, the barrel is blue marbled celluloid with the piston knob is amber marble, as is the the tip of the cap, the section is an amber marble. it is gorgeous. it has a bexley stub nib. i can't post pictures. elaine or scott will do it. it is between a pelikan 600 and 400. oh yeah, the cap screws on the back of the barrel. a delight!!!

My Parker Jotter Fountain Pen from Ebay arrived today. I picked it up because it was cheap and I figured, whatthehell. It actually writes nice and smoothly. It's a medium nib, so a bit too broad for my tastes. The converter was different that what I've seen so far: while a piston, it used a "slide" rather than a screw, and it has a small ball bearing inside (supposedly to keep the ink from clumping, I guess).

EDIT: Forgot to mention I also picked up one of those Waterman Phileas gift sets at OfficeMax today. I haven't tried it out, yet.

My first Parker Vacumatic arrived today! It's also my first fountain pen that's older than me. I'm afraid that I just got on a very slippery slope. I'm happy to say that I inked it right up and it's writing like a champ.

And a Haolilai Sapphire:

(Photos nicked from ISellPens.com because I can't find the cable for my camera. )

My collection of inexpensive international fountain pens is growing... it's vaguely fungoid and worries me sometimes, but it's growing. :D

There you go! Not sure whether your custom pen uses one thread section or two to cap and to post. It seems to me that the hot ticket is to have one set of cap affixing threads at the center of the pen body, and employ a cap of somewhat longer length than one-half the pen body, such that this one set of barrel threads may serve to both cap and post the pen. When Chicken Pen Works gets into production, such will be the design (deposits not yet accepted)! ;)

Beautiful Sheaffer TD with a medium italic nib, perfectly smooth and it even fills!

Looks mint, it's now my second favorite pen, working on favorite.
