What Pen Did You Get Today?

Oh, I'm bad.... Just bought a TWSBI (My second one in a month. First with a 1.1mm nib, this one with a fine nib, ROC 100), a bunch of inks and an Eversharp Symphony with a fine flex nib, so bloody excited for that last one. Oh, and some dip nibs.... for trying out flex before buying a vintage pen. Oh well.

Well not today but tin the past week:

  1. Reform, NOS piston filler with a juicy BB nibs (Steel)
  2. Three Parker 61 B gold nibs, that I had bought NOS, but were damaged in post. I had them sent to oxonium, and what a wonderful guy he is!! I got them back today straightened and adjusted to write, and modified to fit a Parker 51, so in they went in to my 51s and now I have P51 with broad nibs nunbers 2 (MK III Teal blue aerometric, gold cap), 3 (Black, gold cap MK I), and 4.(black lustraloy cap MK I). I am a hppy person today.

Enjoy your pens

Have a nice day

I just got three restored vintage British pens. A lovely navy blue Summit 160, a black Mentmore Autoflow, and a BCHR John Bull. I can hardly wait to ink them up!

Yesterday, I spent what most of my friends would consider an unreasonable amount of money on what is my grail pen, a Visconti Homo Sapiens Steel Age. After trying a couple Mont Blancs out, I found out that looks aren't everything. :P Now, my collection is complete, and I am content. WHat inks next??! :P

Stipula Passaporto Medium

Today i was given a no-name (probably a giveaway) fountain pen. "IRIDIUM POINT" carved on the nib. I'll share pictures soon.

Levenger True Writer, Fine nib, and my first purchase after stumbling onto FPN a couple of weeks ago.

As a side note, my wife has spent years asking "Why do you need so many pens?" In the last couple of years that has morphed to, "Why do you need so many fountain pens?" At least now I can tell her I'm not the only one!

Hi, it is my first time here. I just got a triple set of Parker 25s. Fountain pen, Ballpoint and Pencil. They are stainless steel with black trim marked with Made in England.

I have looked through and can't find a date for them. Is there any one out there who could help me out?

I had my first Parker 25 with breather hole when I was a kid, so it was great to be able to get this set and feel their wonderful form in my hand after 30 something years.

Many thanks

Jay

  • 2 weeks later...

Got from an ebay merchant an Omas Galileo Fountain Pen and also the matching Rollerball (in their original packaging, quite a find). Wonderful wild celluloid.

I might be a trivial purchase, but I just discovered a note dating back five years ago in which I listed my top wish in terms of pens. Amazingly, five years later, all of the pens on the list may be crossed out. They were:

1) Omas Paragon full silver (numbered; the first 100 pieces were numbered) fp and matching rollerball

2) Omas Paragon full gold (numbered) fp and matching rollerball

3) Omas Paragon vermeil cap

4) Omas Paragon T2 (titanium) with diamonds limited edition

5) Omas 360 T2 (titanium) with diamonds

6) Visconti Alchemy

7) Sailor King of Pen, Kinge Eagle nib

8) Omas collection "Pittura contemporanea", maki-e pen(s) from artist Josiane Monrosty

Well... not sure if now I should feel buyer's remorse, but it might be late... for sure now I can slow down...

I got my Serwex pen from India today and it is lovely. I figured out how to fill it (the hardest part). Writes well so far. Lovely! Thank you Kevin :)

Happy kitty.

My first MB 146....I heard BoBo's voice...."chase the nib, the nib!" So she's a flexy broad....found her hanging out on the 'bay....and she was cheap way less expensive than I'd thought. I'm glad I was outbid on the others.

Pilot Custom 823 in smoke-black with a medium 14K nib

Same as mine...and I'm loving mine even more than when it first arrived. I think you're in for a genuine treat.
