What Pen Did You Get Today?

Finally sprung for a Lamy 2000 to get one before the "price hike" goes international! :happyberet: I have been pondering this purchase for days now, and since I was able to get it for around $100, I felt it was a no-brainer. Unfortunately, I'm already on the hunt for my next pen! :headsmack:

I just finished writing with a Pelikan M800 with a Medium nib. I bought it on ebay from Frau Martini on Thursday and it arrived today (Monday). Astounding! I went with the red instead of the green, because I didn't want to be mistaken for an accountant.

It is a beautiful pen. Perfect sized, well balanced, and fired right up. I love it.

Since I can't afford a Porsche 911, I'll have to stay content using fountain pens to help me get through my mid-life crisis.

My new Monte Rosa arrived today with a XF nib. I have one with a medium nib and found it too wide. This pen is in mint condition and writes well... but *sigh* there is little to no line variation like with my new vintage sweet Kaweco :( The Monte Rosa is probably going in the Sell pile.

Well actually, it was late yesterday when I arrived home from work and found a FDEX parcel. Inside was a 1950s MB 149 14c Medium, bi-colour gold nib. Very excited about receiving this and looking forward to filling it up with .....ummm not sure which ink I will use just yet but I am very eager to test out the famed flexibility of the vintage Montblanc nib.

This completes the first part of a three-part grail quest (1950s MB 149, MB 138, and a MB 139) to complete my pen collection. One down, two to go.

Not one, but two pens arrived today!

Today I recieved a Recife Andy Warhol Marilyn Monroe (circa 1993) and a Francois-Yves Luthier Modigliani (circa 1995) in white casein. Both are French limited editions purchased on eBay and both are in great shape.

Got a sage green Sheaffer Cadet fp & p set from eBay. It is very smooth and spent an hour making up things to write in my journal. Very happy.

I received a very sweet Waterman Dauntless in the mail yesterday when I got home from work. It has the perfect amount of flex. Must get writing to penpals today!

Wahl Eversharp Skyline (silver moire) with a truly luscious flex fine nib.

Probably the best nib I've ever experienced.

Nervous? No, I'm just thinking...

I received a matte black vanishing point and a Sheaffer Valor. Very happy with both. The vanishing point is very cool - great packaging, great look. The Sheaffer Valor was purchased off the boards here from another FPN'er and is a great pen.
