Stuff for cartooning...

A Sailor Profit 1911 Agate Red 14K Zoom nib Fountain Pen. In normal writing, you wouldn't see much line variation. But for drawing, you don't mind changing your grip on the pen to get a different stroke width, so the pen is very handy. It's like having three nibs in one.

A Sailor Brush Pen - for inking large areas. And for practicing my kana.

Lamy nexx w/ Broad nib - The fat grip on these is very nice for drawing; it gives you more control.

I just received and "Inkograph" pen in the mail.

It's an old pen - from the 50'ies maybe - and it's was mint condition with the box and papers.

It cost me all of $4, delivered...

I've inked it up. No leaks so far and it writes really well. The writing point (not a fountain pen nib) is nice and smooth and I think it'll get some use.

I enjoyed being able to try one of these.

Just got some sailor 809 ball point refills from Andy's Pens for a pen I bought 30 years ago. It's like getting a brand new pen!

A new, previously owned Visconti Opera in Typhoon Blue - like new :) It is beautiful! Though it actually arrived late yesterday via UPS, today is my first day inking it and giving it a test dip :)

Just ordered a couple of Lamy Safaris to have a play with. Well, actually I was ordering ink, but I just couldn't resist adding them to the basket  . I did say when my Nakaya aka-tamanuri pen arrived a couple of weeks back that I wouldn't be buying any more for a while, but you know how it is.......

Saving up for another Nakaya pen, the other one I like is the Decapod.......... (be a month or few yet but hope to order in time to receive and clear customs before the UK tax rises esp on VAT kick in next yr)

This weekend I got an Omas Emotica - Red (what a beauty) and a Pilot Vanishing Point - Yellow. I almost walked away with a Stipula Model T, but they didn't have it in graphite.

Pelikan 405 blue, broad point. From Martini.de. A beautiful pen. Even my wife likes it.

Broad point is comical, like pouring ink on the page. Very bold.

My first Sailor, a 1911 Realo with B Nib. I must say, "Wow!" I see what all the fuss is about with the Sailor nibs.

A Parker Jotter, two Waterman Frances, all cut to italic nibs. The Wateramans are baby blue, and an interesting multicoloured display. The baby blue is leaving tomorrow as a gift for someone else.

Also, a Pelikan M200, marbled grey.

I popped into an antique store on the way to St. Louis yesterday and landed a nice

Dunn Dreadnaught ringtop.

With an INTACT filler and red knob. Very cool!

Have a look from my hotel bathroom photo studio.

Rotring Initial. I'm kind of indifferent. Writes fine, feels OK, finish is a little cheesy and it doesn't post very well.
