An MB 149 has been on my 'someday maybe' list for a long time. I hadn't bought a pen in over a year (I think) and it was double my usual dollar limit. But for an M1000 with a Mottishaw chisel nib, it seemed like a bargain.

I did receive two wonderful gift pens. A Waterman #3 that needs to visit Mr.Binder and a beautiful Parker Centennial.

To find a decent deal on a 30 year old Mont Blanc with a medium left oblique, well all I can do is be grateful. Thank you Makar and FPN.

First generation Stipula 22 with a medium nib in the grey cellocrid finish. Already has a new feed on it so no flow issues to worry about.

My birthday was a happy pen day! Unfortunately FPN was down. So let me combine my Birthday and Father's Day, belatedly.

A nice McAllister University ballpoint that I quickly put an Itoya green gel refill in from my Nephew,

A Porsche 3150 with smoooth F nib, (with brown leather), that I had made the mistake of briefly handling in Copley Plaza last year, and finding out that it was made for me.

A Waterman 0752 Canadian Ideal that my wife found a pen shop in Seville. My first flexible nib, but not a wet noodle. It has Feb 9, 1908 date on it, and Oct 9, 1906 Patented date. Restored, delicate feeling and wonderful. I need to find out about this pen. My second Waterman, (the other is a Phileas), and my first real Vintage pen!

From my daughter, the Mint Lamy 27 from the FPN marketplace

A beautiful Cross Pinnacle gold plated with M nib that was almost a sumgai deal on Ebay.

And a Champagne Gold Cross C type F nib, that is a big surprise. It became my EDC, as soon as I was able to put the Porsche down!

I got my first FP two years ago from my wife on a "Milestone" birthday. This June has been amazing.

Satiated, I have completed my collecting, and will happily use my pens in a careful rotation and maintenance sequence, no longer being susceptible to itchy fingers and a quickening of the breath and pulse on feeling the attraction of another Fountain pen. These acquisitions have taught me that there is no end to the attraction of the NEXT grail pen, and the only rational accommodation is to stop where I am.

Besides, I got my first Pelikan last month, a new style M 405 F that was Minty, and I certainly don't need to think about Pelikans! Especially a Toledo. I can't afford one. I probably could afford a M 800, or even a M 1000, if I got a great deal, and my wife will probably forget about the "No more pens" rule in a few years.

I really shouldn't have asked the girl in Libreria Lehmann in San Jose to let me handle the Pelikans, but I had never held one. So I got to handle those three. And then I just had to get the 405 on the 'Bay in April.

If I ever got a M700 Toledo, I would probably just want one of the big ones also. So it is out of the question.

If only they stopped showing those poor Pelicans covered with oil on CNN every morning!

Cheers,

Went to pick up the Swan Visofill yesterday and left with two other pens. The "precious resin" pen also arrived yesterday. Yay!

Wow, Ricky, look at that new Edison! And gorgeous photo!

You'll love the new Edison. It has a very fine stiff nib and holds a ton of ink. No ink window though. :(

I just bought a 1920's Waterman 52 with a superflex F-B nib, and a Mabie Todd Swallow with a medium flex M-BB nib. I'm SO excited about getting my first flex nibs! Mauricio was incredibly helpful and gave me a ton of great advice back and forth by email, over the weekend no less! https://www.fountainpennetwork.com/forum/index.php?/topic/159638-vintage-wahl-eversharp-pens-mabie-todd-conklin/

I received my green demonstrator Pelikan M200 with an F nib yesterday. Was so excited I inked it at once with Herbin's Lie de The, because life's too short. So happy!

Pictures here.

An Arbutus Harlequin. Very attractive looking pen, but the nib's a touch scratchy, and it's one of those cartridge pens that comes with no converter. That said it will use full sized cartridges, so that's a point in its favour.

Another Ti nib pen entered the stable today. Delta Titanio with medium nib from Bryant. It's definitely up to par with my Stipulas.

A Sailor ProColor. Picked up the package from the Post Office this morning. Ran soapy water thru the nib and it is now drying.

My challenge is to leave it alone for awhile before I try it out!

I received a pink Lamy Safari LE (F) today in the mail. I filled it with Conway Stewart Violet. I decided to take pictures of my Limited Edition Lamy Safari's. So here they are with a bottle of J.Herbin "1670" 340th Anniversary ink that I got several weeks ago.

I'm waiting on a red Pelikan M205 to arrive any day!
