Got my metal Falcon (broad nib) from Todd. Inked it with obligatory Namiki blue for the first run. Looks like it's going to be fun!

A Pilot VP in Chrome. It is so good to have a VP again.

A first generation Stipula 22 in grey with a fine titanium nib. So far, none of the ink starvation issues that so many had problems with.

My Pilot Bamboo with fine nib! This pen is at the top of my rotation now! It did not take as long as I thought it would. I will still always order priority mail from outside the US!

I bought my first FP (Pilot Custom 74 Demo) today along with some Levenger inks of various colors. Should be interesting when they finally arrive. B) :D

Got my Sailor Calligraphy pen today. Gives me 3 distinctly different line widths depending on the angle I hold it at. A little toothy with the "medium and fine"-line positions, but it's not bad. However, depending on my grip, I tend to slack in my hand position causing unintended line width changes. It'll take some practice getting used to, but I don't think I'll be using this as a daily writer. I mainly wanted it for doing cards and using it in spot situations whenever I needed to write particularly broadly or other situations like that.

I got my first vintage pen, a blue Esterbrook J :) It has an 8668 nib, which I think is bent just a bit (looks a bit like a hawk's beak), but so far it seems to be writing just fine. I love the blue color of the body. That's what really drew me to it, plus the fact that I wanted to try an inexpensive vintage pen and this seemed like a good one.

Got this pen from a fellow FPN'er

The body is pretty beat up but I LOVE the OBB nib and how nice it makes my handwriting look and, of course, it's an Elysee so I'm a happy camper all around. Inked up with Private Reserve Ebony Purple which, in this broad nib, looks rather less ebony and rather more purple.

Yesterday a co-worker brought in a pen he'd had lying around. Turns out it's a Platignum (squeeze bar filler variety) with medium straight calligraphy nib, and though it was rather dirty, everything appears to be workable. Cleaning in progress now, and I'm off to eBay to get some additional nibs for it...

A Pilot Prera Slate Grey (fine). It's a surprisingly compact and writes like a needle compared to my EF Lamy Safari.

just waiting for it to arrive...........a super wet noddle

I received my new Pilot 74 Custom Demonstrator and four bottles of Levenger ink (raven black, cobalt blue, empyrean, and claret).

So, when you first start out (after reading the directions), do you typically start with the ink or the cartridge that comes with the pen? :headsmack:

For my 22nd birthday I received a Visconti Wall Street LE in red celluloid with a fine palladium nib. The pen is from Bryant and the service was excellent (as is the pen).

UPS brought me my mother's Sheaffer Valiant, ca 1950, Triumph style nib, touchdown fill, back from being completely repaired/restored. It writes great and is a neat thing to have her pen as well. She died over 30 years ago, so the pen was in pretty sad shape.

A Stipula Passaporto LE, Cognac finish, has been shipped from the Fountain Pen Hospital. It will be a rough few days waiting for it to walk across the country.

Got two Reform 1745s and a Dollar Student Pen in the mail from FPN user Smeden in Finland. Pens are great fun -- I'm shocked how well the Dollar Student Pen M-nib writes.

As luck would have it, three pens arrived in today's post. A Dannitu 119 and an Armour Original from cutepens.com, and a Reform 1745 from a seller on eBay. I already have a Dannitu 119 and an Armour Original (eyedropper fill, by the way - not indicated on the Cute Pens website) and was happy to get a further instance of each. The Reform was new to me. Slimmer than I'd expected, but light and easy to hold. The Armour and Reform nibs are both at the F/EF end of the spectrum, the Dannitu more medium, although none of them has a size marked on the nib. All three now inked and tested, and they all write well.

I have a Dannitu 119 in my jacket pocket as a carry pen. Brass bodied, C/C fill and a *very* positive click-fit cap. The durability of the finish is a little suspect, as the one I carry has lost a little of the black finish on the body, probably from posting the cap. Doesn't worry me, as it wasn't an expensive pen. It is, though, a nice writer in my lefty underwriter hand.

A Levenger Signature Stub. FedEx just dropped it off. I just gave it a maiden flushing of soapy water. Right now it's drying. I'm resisting the urge but will load it with Pelikan Blue Black after dinner and give it a try.

Have wanted to try a stub for quit a while, so I'm pretty excited.
