Got a nice Parker 51 burgundy aero GF cap. I got it for the cap but it's a well preserved pen. For 25€ it's a bargain!

Cheers, Andrea

I just picked up an ealry '60s Parker 75, sterling cisele body and cap with 14k nib...all for $20. It's a wonderful writer, and so far, my only cisele.

A vintage Waterman's Taperite Corinth in excellent working condition, no markings beyond the brand, but seems to match the picture on Richard Binder's site

Conway Stewart 75 arrived in the post today from a fellow FPN-er. It's a lovely little pen.

Today (well, yesterday) I got a Sheaffer Calligraphy Set (the big version) from the local stationery store. I got it as LI've wanted to try Italic nibs, and these were extraordinarity cheap (about 20-30 bucks to you, I guess, but everything expensive here). I spotted a 10 buck (195 SEK) Parker Vector in red/black as well, and it looks nice. The Sheaffers write a little scratchy (I think that's to be expected from an italic), and it had flow problems (It placed whole globs of ink on my paper) and drips when shaken (even lightly), but it's otherwise good. Practising Chancery right now.

  • Parker Sonnet, M nib
  • Sheaffer Calligraphy Set, F & M & B Calligraphy nibs

Today I "got" my grandmother's Gold Bond Stonite ringtop pen from the 1930s. I have "got" in quotes because I actually received the pen (from my mother and aunt) a few weeks ago, just before Christmas, but it had a perished sac and cracked nib. The last of the bits I needed (a donor pen to supply a correct replacement nib) came in yesterday's mail, and I finished reassembly today, inking the pen (Noodler's Luxury Blue) and writing with it for the first time in at least fifty years. Next task for this pen is to write a letter to my mother, and one to my aunt, thanking them for keeping the pen when Grandma passed away, even though it obviously didn't work, and then sending it to me when they learned I was using and restoring pens now.

Does not always write loving messages.

Does not always foot up columns correctly.

Does not always sign big checks.

Just came in the mail today...

Lanbitou 886, a big, medium heavy c/c fountain pen

Fuliwen Jumbo Tiger Eye Ruby FP a twist converter only FP

Duke Copper Temple, the filling mechanism similar to a Parker 51, but removable

Duke Complete Esteem, similar to above, but a permanently installed converter.

Plus, I finally found a converter to fit my no-name cheapy cartridge FP. Even though its a cheap one, it is my first FP so I keep it around for sentimental value I suppose.
