What Pen Did You Get Today?

Recommended Posts

The bar for 2010 has been set high.

Morning:

This morning I met with a fellow FPN member to pick up a pen, coffee and a little pen show and tell.

The pen I picked up is a beautiful Parker 51 vac DJ in cordovan, converging lined GF cap with a silky smooth med nib. Man what a looker she is, and writes like a dream!

Afternoon:

My postal carrier is delivering a Parker Imperial vacumatic with the afternoon mail. More on that one later.

Aurora Ipsilon and so far I really like it a bunch. Nice smooth nib marked as a medium but is really closer to a fine.

Awesome!

I got a Pilot Elite Mechanical Pencil off of ebay. It is a close enough match to the Pilot Elite Fountain Pen that I have paired them and have another set for my collection.

I bought a very nice Adeline quill pen, some nibs, and ink at Barnes and Noble tonight. Ever since I started watching "The Tudors" I have wanted a quill pen. So far, I'm loving it.

I just got my Sailor Large Profit 1911 with Naginata Togi Gold 21kt Medium Fine. Love the pen. Takes some getting use to because of the line variation

Not today, actually; last week. But a very handsome Conway Stewart M58. It's a fine, solid pen with a smooth medium nib. A lever-filler. The original filling-lever was a mess of rust and uncooperative metal, so I salvaged another pressure-bar from a junky old Waterman and used that to fix this one. Now it works like a charm!

Got my Pilot MYU M90 today! After some initial dry/skipping writing, I adjusted the tines a little for flow, and now it's nice and smooth. Now I have to decide whether to keep the squeeze converter or go with refilling cartridges b/c I'm using so much ink cuz I can't put it down!
