One 146 and one 149 from Mike-it-work Masuyama. The 146 is now a smooth true medium round point and the 149 is a ultra smooth stub with some give. The 149's nib is an older 14C tritone and has a bit of lovely spring to it.

In case you wish to write to me, pls use ONLY email by clicking here. I do not check PMs. Thank you.

An Osmiroid 65 I won on ebay has just arrived.

The lever mechanism seems to be working ok, so is there any chance that the sac won't have perished?

If the lever moves freely but springs correctly, the sac is either pretty much okay, or completely missing, and the J-bar is fine. In that condition, it'd be safe to attempt filling the pen (try with water first, less mess if there's enough sac to fill but not enough to hold). These pens were made into the mid-1970s, and it's not rare to find Esterbrooks a minimum of fifteen years older than that with good original sacs.

Thank you. I've flushed it thoroughly and opened it up, and you're right: the sac looks like it's still in good condition.

I got a pink Lamy Safari, fine nib. I thought my charcoal one was going to be the last one I'd buy for awhile, but I really like it, and since the pink is a limited edition that won't be around forever I decided to go ahead and get it.

And this doesn't exactly count, but yesterday I discovered a Kaweco Sport Classic fountain pen and ink roller that I'd forgotten about. I seriously have no idea when or where I got them! I haven't used the fountain pen yet (still need to clean it before I put a new cartridge in) but the ink roller is working well so far. :)

After a long trip from USA a gorgeous Sheaffer's Flat Top in chased BHR hit my door. Man, it's beautiful!

Glad to hear that! I hope you are just as pleased with the OS Balance when it arrives.

Not a pen, but I received in today's mail an 18k Aurora nib unit. The B nib has been ground down to a fine, and it writes a lovely line. The line width is ever so slighty wider than my Omas Paragon and a tad narrower than my Pelikan 800.

I may send this on to Brian to see if it would work in one of his gorgeous red/black ebonite Herald pens.

My dad called to say a pen package came in today. That would be a MIB Sheaffer Connaisseur Herringbone FP/BP set. My third and I am thrilled to bits.

Can't wait to get home. I love my Connaisseurs so.

Stay well,

Solomon

Finally received my Stipula Etruria Gaudi Pedrera Cracked Ice, broad nib, which has been on backorder for ages.

I also received (two pens on the same day!) my Nakaya Spiketails, freshly returned from John Mottishaw; it was sent in with an XF nib and returned with a medium flex nib. Oh the joy! It is now perfect, perfect. Filled with Montblanc Violet and I can't seem to put it down.

Thursday I received a blue Signum Orione, and today's mail brought a Waterman Lady Patricia in beautiful blue/bronze, just like the fourth pen from the left in Greg's remarkable picture. It made it to North Carolina from California in just two days!

Today's mail brought a package from Richard Binder. A replacement Pilot Custom 823 in amber, 0.7mm cursive italic nib, since the original ended up mostly shattered after a run in with a ceramic tile floor. And also a Pilot Custom 74, 0.8mm stub nib, just to make me feel better about having to replace the 823.

Yesterday at the Dallas Pen Show -

1. Parker "51" Special, aerometric, black body and chrome colored cap. NOS.

2. Parker Challenger Deluxe with 14k semi-flex nib, button filler, black with olive/gold pattern.

3. Watermans brown and gold striped lever filler with 14k-canada flex nib. Not sure what model it is, possibly from the 1930's?

I just wanted to start a poll showing the new pens people get every day!

Have Fun!

Never thought I'd post in this thread but today I got an amazing pen, a MB 149 with fine 18K nib. Wow what a great writer and a beauty too, perfect size for me too.

Yesterday, I got two cheapies -- a Sailor Ink Pen and a Platinum Riviere, both black. Can't wait to try them but I'm holding off until I finish the ink in my Pilot Birdie as I don't want to have a lot of "loaded" pens at the same time.

OH MY I finally have something to add to this topic, it seems like forever since I've had something to report here. I think I will take it slow and report one pen a night until I get through my Dallas purchased / traded pens.

I'll start with a wonderful, stunning Senior Parker Duofold Vac in red vertical stripes that I picked up in a trade. It is restored and has a very smooth Accountant Fine nib. It has a blue diamond clip, a 3 banded cap band with no brassing and a 1942 imprint.

My Varuna Vishal arrived today! Its incredible, went with the black bakul finish and opted for clipless so its very plain from the outside, but when you unscrew it you're greeted with a lovely gold sheaffer nib :D Definately going to have to do a review for it as soon as I get my pal to take some nice photos of it!
