Visconti opera in solid black. This is my second Visconti, the first being a Van Gogh Maxi. All I can say is wow, their nibs surprise me how smooth they are out of the box. It came with a Visconti 97 Traveling Ink Pot which I'm a little hesitant to use as I'm not confident how leak proof it is, but I love the pen

I didn't get a pen today, but my 7-year-old boy did. He saw me writing with my Pelikan M200 and insisted on getting his own pen. I got him a Pelikano Jr (blue), which came with a blue cartridge. If he uses it a lot, I'll get him a converter so he can try "grown-up" inks.

Bought a Kaweco Sport Aluminum as an impulse purchase from "isellpens" for cheep.

For some reason I love pens that use international cartridges and I'm a sucker for tools.....

I received it yesterday--a Nakaya Spiketails with an XF nib. I am going to send it to John Mottishaw on Monday for a nib change as the XF is much too fine for my purposes.

So, since yesterday my house was visited by a brand new kid (Alice, first time at home) and a Parker 51 Cocoa (used, but excellent conditions).

Oooh, an original Wearever fountain pen cartridge is probably worth what you paid for the set!

Does not always write loving messages.

Does not always foot up columns correctly.

Does not always sign big checks.

I received an antique Dyna-Flo by the Universal Pen Co, NY, NY with a glass cartridge. After soaking and cleaning the nib by filling the cartridge (with a medical syringe) with water and wrapping the nib in a tissue to quickly "wick" the water, I found that it's gold (plated ?) nib writes amazing well and very smooth. The glass cartridge's capacity exceeds the large plastic cartridges. The glass cartridge (gently) twists into it the receiver behind the feed. I'm glad that I cleaned it in a white pan because I might have lost the little brass washer that floated out. Not bad for $14 on Ebay.
