What Pen Did You Get Today?

An Eversharp ballpoint. British Racing Green or John Deere Green to my eye with a gold tone cap. Cleaned the refill, cut it down and used it for a spacer to hold a Cross refill in the proper place. Not bad for $1 at a flea market.

Also got an Esterbrook Flo Master marker that still has some ink left.

Plus a black plastic flat top FP from at least before 1953, the insurance company imprint in the barrel changed names then. The nib is soaking to remove the dried caked ink.

Haven't had such luck in Flea Markets in quite some time.

I decided to buy my first nice fountain pen after years of using cheap grocery store Parkers and Sheaffers. I couldn't, however, decide between a Vanishing Point or a Lamy 2000. So I bought both!

Thanks to everyone who has posted the countless reviews and perspectives on these and other pens. It really helped me narrow down my search. Now I am just anxiously awaiting their arrival.

I received my Hero 850 from Hari317 today. Intergral nib and a great writer for the price.

I also picked up a Pilot Volex (1978) from rroossinck on my way through Iowa last week.

Lamy Vista EF to use with a new bottle of Blue Ghost (which I ended up putting in my chick stick instead.)

Today is an exciting day because I just received a package containing a Parker Reflex and a Styphen Creeks pen. The Parker Reflex is so smooth and it is red. The Styphen Creeks went to my friend (she picked the pen out) and she loves it so far as well.

I also got a bottle of Levenger Raven Black and I tested out with a dip pen. It is really really black. I can't wait until I use up all the ink in one of my pens so I can fill it from the bottle for the very first time.

Yesterday I got a Dollar 717i demonstrator, in burgundy. I haven't used it much yet other than a few sentences to test it, but so far I like it. :)

I got a beautiful jade green lacquer "Lady" fountain pen by S.T. Dupont with a medium tip. I'm not sure what year it was made. It was new in the box with papers etc. It only came with the 1 1/2 inch blue cartridges so I ordered a converter from Joon. I prefer pens without a clip, so I like the Lady styles. (Which is a good thing because I am a lady.) This has been my most expensive pen (so far) but it's gorgeous.

A Pelikan M205 Blue Demonstrator from Richard Binder. Right now I am using a 1.1mm cursive italic nib in the pen, instead of the steel broad nib that it came with. Filled it with Noodlers Burma Road Brown.

My first Visconti; a Ocean Blue Van Gogh Maxi.

Its such a beautiful pen, and heavier than I thought which as far as I'm concerned is great. Now that nib, I've read many a review and speaking to how smooth these nibs can be, well all I can say is WOW, :cloud9: its the smoothest nib I have had out of the box. I inked it up right away with the enclosed Visconti Black and that nib wrote smooth on any kind of paper. My new favorite for the moment and makes me add an Opera or Wall street to my list.

Thanks Bryant, great pen excellent service
