What Pen Did You Get Today?

A NOS Sailor pen, it's stainless, slightly smaller than a Pilot G-2, has a gold nib labeled 'F-4' and has a sticker that says '250'. And I can't find anything about it on the web. It looks a lot like a predecessor to a Recruit.

 

Didn't realize that this doesn't take standard cartriges and that seller wasn't supplying a converter. It will take a few days before I can ink it up.

White Lamy Safari...Medium point....

 

Man, I hadn't purchased a Safari till 2 months ago (22 year fountain pen user).... Got the Charcoal first... followed by 2 of the Orange (F and Stub), ordered the Pink, discovered I missed the White and Lime Green - tried to get the Lime Green (unsuccessful so far) and just scored the White (which I really like)... ALL to say, what a great deal.... I would buy one of these as a gift to a budding fp user anytime... Lamy really hit the ball out of the park with this one...

My Pelikan 400 hybrid/frankenpen arrived today. It is a very nice pen for 82 bucks. Amazing how fast it got here from Germany.

For about $4.00 I bought a pen from Hong Kong (here's there Ebay address for a similar pen) and it arrived today.

I REALLY like it!!! It's heavy like my Cartier, has a very smooth, not scratchy, feel and seems to write very well. It may make the perfect Christmas for non-discerning friends, or for inking every color of the rainbow. I also just ordered a S.T. Dupont in a beautiful shade of green and am eagerly awaiting it's arrival.

I got a new nib for my Estie SJ (a 9555) and a Merlina from Richard Binder...but the Merlina's button filler is missing the button! :bonk: I've been dying to write with it and now have to send it back to get the part put in, aargh.

An Esterbrook J pen and pencil set. Great condition, it came with a firm fine I replaced it with a fine stub and its fantastic. My second looking to get s desk pen next.

Saw two lovely NOS Merlin33 at my local flea market so bought them. One in blue modern stripes one in maroon modern stripes.

Lovely little pens.

Also bought another Wahl Eversharp skyline with Celluloid cap in green stripes.

And finally manage to get the mangled nip of a spoilt Waterman Expert II that I bought on the cheap previously to work.

Got mine today--but although the nib was marked 'F', the pen wrote a medium, almost bold line.

 

I already have a True Writer with an F nib, so it was easy to make an apples-to-apples comparison.

 

The pen itself is lovely, but I have to send it back tomorrow for an exchange. <sigh!>

Mine came on the 29th,a little early. It writes finer than the T.W. Demo I got a few months ago that is also a fiine. Poor quality control at the nib maker?

It would be good if folks would specify make/model in every post since this is such a huge thread and unlikely that everyone remembers every pen previously discussed.

and any other sort of comments don't help others as much as they could if the actual pen was known.

Lamy Safari Savannah Green.

 

It looks in not-too-good conditions, but I hope to restore it at its glory! Anyway a Savannah for 14€ it's a great deal I think.
