A couple of UniBall Vision Elites at the airport, out of curiosity, and an Eye. I'm actually quite impressed. Still not a patch on my Lamy 2K, but good lend-pens.

A Pilot Custom 845 with a medium nib arrived from Taizo Okagaki (engeika) today. I just filled it with Pilot Blue Black and wrote part of a letter with it. A substantial pen that feels good in the hand. Urushi is the nicest finish to hold, imho.

Just got the new Pelikan 400 in tortoise brown with a fine nib. Also ordered Antique Sepia Brown ink from Fahrney's in D.C. to match that beautiful tortoise body!

Just got a couple of fine nib VPens and a Sailor A.S. Manhattaner's NY Artists Guild fountain pen (also fine nib). I am going to need to go buy more colors of ink to fill all these new pens!!

My Pelikan M640 Sahara F just arrived. :) Liking it (and the box), though I may end up trading it for an M8xx if I can't get used to the fairly-narrow section width.

On Sunday, actually... A Waterman Perspective black/silver with medium nib. In the picture, taken shamelessly from Worldlux, it is the top pen shown.

This is a birthday present to myself. More expensive pens sometimes look nicer, but I'm not comfortable with carrying around an Ivanhoe in my backpack and letting it lay around somewhere unattended. Someone might get wise.

I also got my Conklin Metropolis yesterday, which has been surprisingly-sweet for the $35 I paid. I would've considered it a good deal at the $70 original price.

I got my very first fountain pens today from GreenVelvet.

I got a green Yafa and a shiny black Lanbitou 222. I have been writing with the green one and it writes so nicely! My only trouble is that I have been gripping the body of the pen so tightly because I am used to ballpoint pens.

So far, I am loving the fountain pens and I think I have just been hooked. Yay for enablers on here! I will have to put a picture of them up when I find more batteries for my camera. They are packed away somewhere, just have to find them.

Finally got my Hero 616 from isellpens.com (no affiliation) I guess it took a while because he was out of town at a wedding. I am quite pleased with it, after all the horror stories I have heard about these pens, I was worried that I had made a mistake, but alas, it works (other than being a bit toothy, a fine writer).

Now all I need is for my Pilot Knight carts to arrive and I will be all done waiting on the mail every day.

i received my Namiki Falcon soft-fine nib pen today, beautiful smooth writer and really responsive to pressure. Worth the 4 week wait and customs payment from the US.

A Koh-I-Noor Rapidograph, piston-filling variety, blue band marked "3060 № 2½", which I'm currently cleaning with water & RapidoEze. At first some green ink came out, but now it's little black particles.
Note that the point actually in it is marked "1". After the application of elbow grease & RapidoEze, it's laying down lines just as it ought (a little light in tone, considering I have Higgins Black Magic in it, but I think that's just residual water from flushing it).

I bought a Lamy Scribble .7mm from JetPens over the weekend and decided it was time to go ahead and try out a Pilot Petit1. What a great little pen! I may end up buying a multicolor pack, or at the very least get a couple more next time I place an order with them.

I received a pen today that I forgot I had coming -- a Wearever lever filler, not sure of the vintage. It needs a little work, but dip testing shows a semi-flex nib, so it'll surely get fixed when I can get the bits and bobs I need (sacs, shellac, and a J-bar).

Does not always write loving messages.

Does not always foot up columns correctly.

Does not always sign big checks.

Today in the mail I received a Lamy Vista and a Levenger True Writer in True Blue. I also received Noodler's Kung Te-Cheng as well and it is lovely.

The UPS driver delivered today a Glossy Red Waterman Carene - M and a White Sailor Professional Gear - M. The Carene has been filled with Florida Blue and the Sailor with PR Black Cherry. Both provide an excellent writing experience and are very nice looking pens.
