What Pen Did You Get Today?

Today's arrival is for my son, not me. A red Waterman Phileas from Dennis at Parkville Pen. It is a replacement for the one my son dropped on its nib earlier this week.

Let me add what an amazing job Dennis does in shipping. I paid via paypal at 9:15 pm Tuesday. The pen was in my mailbox at 9:45 am today (Friday). That is just two and a half days between payment sent to Missouri and pen received in North Carolina!

Today's mail brought a pen for which I traded, this lovely burgundy streamline Parker Duofold Jr.

It is a model I have long admired, but never obtained. Needless to say, I am quite happy. This makes my fourth working Duofold Jr., and first streamline. I really like these pens.

Today the mailman delivered an amber Pilot Custom 823 with a 0.7mm cursive italic nib from Richard Binder. I inked it with Pilot Blue. This pen (especially the nib) is positively delicious! The vacuum filler is very fun and very effective, and I am enjoying being able to watch the ink slosh around in the barrel.

My grail pen has arrived! After saving and selling off some other pens I finally managed to get a Conway Stewart Knightsbridge. I'm going to ink it after I finish my acting intensive in two weeks as a reward for the tedious work.

A very simple Waterman Apostrophe in black lacquer, with F-nib. I already had a blue marble Apostrophe that I like very much but I wanted an extra daily pen that I can fill with another ink color. Oh, and got a converter with it also.

Currently inked:

Waterman Apostrophe Blue Marble (Waterman Florida Blue), Waterman Apostrophe Black Lacquer (Montblanc Racing Green), Waterman Hemisphere (my own mix with Galileo Manuscript Brown)

Wish list: Stipula Giardino di Boboli, MB 4810 Andrew Carnegie

Nothing new in today, but yesterday afternoon brought this Bexley Giant, ca. 1994, a limited edition of 50 pens in this color, with a large, two-tone #12 Bexley marked pen. The filler is a squeeze type, a rubber sac in an aluminum housing. Large pen!
