What Pen Did You Get Today?

I received a pristine Lamy Vista, M nib, from fellow FPN Philippines member Carl. It came with three blue cartridges and a converter. The nib gives a wider line than I am used to, but now I am thinking of getting XF and F nibs for it from The Writing Desk.

Two packages arrived from Italia today :bunny01:

One is from Alfio (rubyeyespenlover) containing a beautiful pearwood Faber-Castell E-motion FP :cloud9:

The second package came all the way from the Aosta Valley - you guessed it, the home of Grifos s.r.l. - and in it contained 2 FPs made of exotic materials; one an indigo-colored cobra skin :yikes: , the other a red stingray skin  .

I obviously have not read this thread lately because I am just now seeing this post from back on p. 251. That is a gorgeous pen and script! It is one of my grail pens, but of course I could never write like that--absolutely beautiful!

My first Wahl-Eversharp!!!

Its a "rosewood" Gold Medal flattop with the military clip, and a fine flexible nib that writes like BUTTER!

Here's a writing sample I made tonight (sorry, not great photography):

Happy today as I received two gift Esterbrooks, a red J with a 2442 falcon stub, and a copper J with a 9556 fine writing nib.

The package also arrived with a 2284 broad stub, a 9314B relief broad stub, and a 2550 firm extra fine nib. I will enjoy snailing with these :)

Lost a bid on a red Estie "J", but found a Parker 51-S for the same price locally. Cleaned and inked, it writes like no other. :bunny01:

i picked up a haushilac i think it is called, i don't have it with me to look at how it is spelled. it is a "wet" writer and i am very pleased with it for 5 bucks. the nib is med and a little stiff but it produces a very fat wet line which is what i look for. does anyone know anything about this company?

Got a broad (at least that's what it looked like in pictures & person, without taking it apart) nibbed Parker 51 in the mail today. It's currently in the rinse & wash cycle. So far, I'm very pleased.

Much Love--Virginia

I got a Namiki Falcon from Richard Binder today.

It writes really well, smooth and wet (kudos to Namiki and Richard).

I only knew this pen from pictures when I bought it which is always a bit of a risk. But it has (for me) a size which makes it comfortable to write with. The dimensions, by the way, are more or less that of the Parker "51".

So: The Falcon wasn't a Grail pen (I hadn't yearned for it for months and months), but I feel that this is the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

Actually came yesterday, but I got home from work late and snoozed out. Two (2) Danitrio Cum Laudes, one Green, one Brown, M nibs, from Kevin (winedoc). :bunny01:

Rotring Calligraphy Art Pen (with purple pen body  ) with nib size 1.5 mm. It costs only $12.50, so I was lucky! :cloud9:
