This week: A Nakaya Flying Dragon , Nakaya Heki-Tamenuri, Danitrio Nami Nuri in Green, Danitrio Bamboo, Pelikan 1950's 101N in Tortoiseshell NOS, and Montblanc 1950's 242G in Tiger's eye

And this is my first post after a month of lurking. :) Newbie here and I want to thank the board for all the info that I used to make my purchasing decisions. This board made me a Vintage and Japanese pen addict. :)

I will take some photos now and post later. The Heki, Nami, Bamboo, and Peli are still on their way. I'll post the Flying Dragon and some of my other pens. :)

+1!

I would undoubtedly suffer an immediate heart attack if this literal treasure of pens were to show up at my doorstep. :puddle:

JPR -- You've hit the Mother lode, my friend. Well done indeed!

I, too, eagerly await the photos.

I had the day off yesterday, so I came to work this morning to a happy surprise (a surprise, cos I thought it might take longer to get here): the Aurora Arcivi Storici 022 that I bought from dib!

HOORAY!

It is already fabulous!

First of all, it's a beautiful pen. Second, it writes a nice, fine line. Third, it's an Aurora. Wait, maybe first it's an Aurora....

Thank you Clive. But I believe it's the other way around. This board has brought so much knowledge and insight to me.

I just received my Great-Uncle's maroon Eversharp Skyline back from Ryan Roossinck (Thanks for the fix, Ryan). It sat in a box of mechanical pencils for 45+ years and was then handed down to me. It's not perfect, but it's family, and it turned out to be a great writer.

All three take my breath away, I have seen pictures of the flying dragon but only advertising shots, seeing yours shows so much more detail, what a wondefull pen, I must now go use my Nakaya!

I hope you do a review of these stunning pens, knowing my penchant for Nakaya I am really looking forward to the review of that one!

Hearty congratulations and thank you so much for posting the pictures!

All the best.

Ian

Thank you , Ian. I'm relatively new to fountain pens. Started liking/buying only a month ago.

So, I don't believe I am qualified to write an exhaustive review. Truth be told,

my first criteria for buying a pen is aesthetics. I'm lucky I have a group here in the Philippines

who are more than qualified to point me in the right direction with regard to nibs that fit my writing style.

After reading a lot of good reviews of those cheap chinese pens, I couldn't resist the temptation and ordered two of them.

The first one ( Jinhao - Chinese Red Army's Long March) arrived today and i'm really impressed about the quality.

I hope the second one (bookworm - B00 "celluloid flower pattern") arrives later this week.

greetings,

Goesie

JPR,

Your three fountain pens are first-rate beauties (understatement). Above and beyond sheer beauty, each display/possess such unique character. One would think you'd been collecting for a great deal longer than a mere month in light of the initial examples you've presented here.

As far as writing a review goes, I wouldn't be too concerned about having the "necessary qualifications" (whatever that supposedly entails), for it's a safe bet that most of us would enjoy reading whatever you had to say about your remarkable fountain pens.

I wish you the very best of luck in your pursuit of the perfect fountain pen collection. It's abundantly evident you've already made great strides toward that goal!

You'd BETTER be sorry -- and never do it again!!! :roflmho:

All kidding aside, those are some mighty fine looking pens you've got there, JPR!!!

I look forward to reading your future posts.

Hello,

I ordered a Parker Chrome Sonnet medium nib. I can't wait! It should be here tomorrow!

I am new to fountain pens. You all told me buying, having, and collecting pens was addictive. Well, it is very addictive and I LOVE it!

Thanks to everyone on FPN! :clap1:
