I got:

1) A blue Esterbrook transitional with a 3668 (!!!) nib. Unfortunately, the sac is in horrid shape. Fortunately, I also got...

2) A copper Esterbrook LJ with a 2556 nib back from restoration by Danny Fudge. Thanks to the Renew Point technology, I'll be doing a quick nib swap before sending the blue one out for service!

3) A pastel green Sheaffer Snorkel Sentinel, also back from restoration.

4) A burgundy Sheaffer Snorkel Sentinel with gold tube (!), also back from restoration.

I'm quite excited. I just have to decide which pens to send out next to be restored. I have another transitional Esterbrook on its way to me, two Sheaffer Admirals (lever and touchdown), and a Sheaffer Snorkel Sovereign in need of repair.

I guess you like Sheaffers then?

Picked up my 5th Pelikan M7000 at the Post Office.

Ebay bargain at about 1/2 Retail and passed over by most as I think most people saw the box before they looked at the pen.

Pen sold by one of those "I Sell It For You" shops and it was in the wrong box. Instead of the Pelikan Majesty box it came in a small Pelikan box with a white interior that had slots for 3 pens....even after I wrote to them to see if they had the proper one...no reply.

Pen is perfect and writes great...though I need to get a Fine nib...filled with Noodlers Apache Sunset.

Favorite Pens...Pelikan M7000 Majesties (have 6) and Waterman Leman 100's Old Style All Silver (have 4).

Favorite Inks: Noodlers...Love Ottoman Azure and Ottoman Rose.

Favorite Paper: Beckett Expression Super Smooth in 24 lb. Writing and 70 lb. Text weight.

Today it arrived. My Sailor Professional Gear. With rhodium trim and a medium nib. It is so beautiful, it fits my hand perfectly and it writes like a dream. It is absolutely wonderful.

Nicolette

Nicolette,

You certainly must be happy, with three Hero 336's and a Conway Stewart 12 !!!

I "wouldn't mind" having that particular Conway Stewart in my FP collection, either ...

Congratulations!

Very Best Regards,

I've just got two oldies off Ebay to restore. One is an old Summit lever filler in black hard rubber and the other a New Ideal also in black hard rubber. The New Ideal I really like alot, I guess it's an early 1920's pen and the cap screws onto the end of the barrel when posted. It also has a lovely big round tab on the end of the lever. On the downside the nib is broken. I haven't done any restoration to speak of before so this will be interesting.....

Well, not today but yesterday...

A beautiful blue Waterman Serenite  . Too beautiful and -to be honest- too expensive for my budget. I'm afraid my budget demands from me to sell it, but I'm in love with it...

I think you should fill that pen with Red Ink as a form of performance - humor.

A lovely Monteverde from Doug through the marketplace. It's a rollerball, but so colorful that I had to have it.

Dextertje,

I really hope you decide to keep your Sérénité. After reading a FPN review (for the black version), I walked away wanting one on general principles alone!

What a work of art you have. It would be a shame to have to part with it. Perhaps you may reconsider?

My Champagne Pink Decimo arrived! The F nib writes superbly out of the box. It arrived with 2 Pilot Iroshizuku inks, Yama-budo (Wild Grape) and Yu-yake (Sunset - orange). I inked the Decimo immediately with the Yama-budo, which I can already tell is going to be my favorite combination...

Liapuyat,

Outstanding!!! And what a treat to one's eyes! Just opening the majestic box that contains your new Décimo is a ceremony in of itself. I purchased a white Décimo a couple of years ago (from Japan) and didn't have such good luck with the stock nib (also a Fine). I ordered a Décimo Fine nib from Richard Binder and have experienced nothing but the most outstanding results with it ever since.

Wishing you the very best with your new Champagne Pink Décimo for many years to come.

Cheers!

Indeed. I don't want to part with it.. I haven't seen any pen that I think is more beautiful. I like the looks of the black version even better. And wow, did they 'only' cost $375 in 2005? :o

My first Parker Vacumatic, a Golden Pearl, came with a few more scratches and scrapes than I'd like, but life is only so short, right?
