I received a 10-pack of Hero 616s today straight from Hong Kong. I played around with them, picked the smoothest writers, and matched them with the caps with the straightest jewels on them. 4 out of 10 ain't too bad, I guess!

Received my new Amber Shimmer Carene with factory stub nib just a few minutes ago. Can't wait to see how it writes!

I'm sure, absolutely sure you'll love it. Mine has a medium nib. It sails on paper.

I just received a Parker 25 from a seller here on FPN. I did have to clean it up some but it's a really nice writing little pen. The seller surprised me by including a rollerball which had not been mentioned in his ad.

My cup overfloweth today. Overflewth? Floodedeth?

I received a fabulous P51 from readymade in Singapore, an Estie 9556 blue beauty from SMG in Canada, and a Mb Historical that I'd coveted for TWO YEARS from Bryant in Arizona. I am... quite beside myself. I'm taking the MB to the boutique tomorrow to have the nib switched for an XF (and maybe have something engraved on it, my name or a very short phrase, a motto), but the pen itself is GORGEOUS. All my pens... what is it? What is it about pens?!

Have I mentioned that Bryant is a pen magician? I had exhausted other avenues of inquiry, and Bryant, within HOURS -- mere HOURS -- of my PM (out of the blue!), had located the pen and it was on its way to me the next day. Less than a week ago.

Absolutely amazing.

Bill,

I had to do a double-take when I first laid eyes your Parker. For a fleeting second, I thought I saw what appeared to be a steel drift punch. Maybe it's time to pay a visit to the optometrist. :o

That's a great score, in any case. Congratulations!

Rotring Primus.

Because it's wood. And because I need a pen I can pass down to the younger children and infect the next generation with.

So far as I know, my 1911 full-size zoom nib arrived today via UPS. Do not know if my Sheaffer Agios arrived, as they came regular USPS. I will elaborate after I get home and ink the 1911 and search for the Agios.

I got:

1) A blue Esterbrook transitional with a 3668 (!!!) nib. Unfortunately, the sac is in horrid shape. Fortunately, I also got...

2) A copper Esterbrook LJ with a 2556 nib back from restoration by Danny Fudge. Thanks to the Renew Point technology, I'll be doing a quick nib swap before sending the blue one out for service!

3) A pastel green Sheaffer Snorkel Sentinel, also back from restoration.

4) A burgundy Sheaffer Snorkel Sentinel with gold tube (!), also back from restoration.

I'm quite excited. I just have to decide which pens to send out next to be restored. I have another transitional Esterbrook on its way to me, two Sheaffer Admirals (lever and touchdown), and a Sheaffer Snorkel Sovereign in need of repair.
