A blue one with a gold coloured lid and a gold coloured writing part (knib?) underneath.

It is a truth universally acknowledged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune, must be in want of nothing at all...

Just about thirty minutes ago, the postman delivered a 0.6mm stub nib from Richard Binder for my previously fine-nibbed Vanishing Point. I skipped up the drive and into the house. Ran into my study to ink it up. Started writing. It took me a second to get the hang of the new nib, but now I've got it and I love it! It adds so much character to my writing. My Vanishing Point is no longer boring to use!

Stipula Volterra, much to my surprise. I'd expressed wanting one, but didn't think I'd get one for a while, but I found one right after my post.

An S. T. Dupont Montparnasse with a glass-smooth F/M nib. I've already inked it, no skipping, just nice smooth writing. Width is just what it should be, midway between fine and medium. (I'm using Conway Stewart Blue ink in it at the moment.) I am going to have to get used to the different grip, due to the shape of the flare just above the section you have to hold it farther away from the nib than I am used to. Not bad, just different. The nib feels so good to write with I'm sure I won't mind adjusting to the grip.

Well, not today -- a Prera for Valentine's day.

I've been on a quest to see if I could commit all Seven Deadly Sins in a single day. Finally, it dawned on me I shouldn't try for the One Day Wonder Prize for all seven in one day. It's simply out of any question as you can't commit decent sloth while busily ticking the other six off your crowded "to do" list. -- ViolinWriter

Bill,

Exquisite! Absolutely exquisite ... and filled with Conway Stewart Blue no less. That's GOT to be the closest thing to Fountain Pen nirvana.

Congratulations!!!

Cheers!

Reprieve,

Your post was the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back for me. I, like you, purchased a Vanishing Point (a pearl white Décimo in my case, which is essentially the same thing) with a Fine nib, which served to add nothing to the character of my handwriting. The next item on my FP shopping list will be a Binderized Stub nib for my VP. Thank you for being THE person to have provided me with the proper motivation to get a far more appropriate nib for my needs.

Congratulations on receiving your VP w/Binderized stub nib!!! Please let us hear more about it when you get a chance.

Very Best Regards,

Silvermink,

That's quite a find ... one that I am looking into myself. Every serious Pelikan collector ought to own at least one Stenofüllhalter ... right?

Congratulations on your "latest" vintage :D Pelikan FP!!!

Just received my red Lamy Safari /w Medium Nib today, courtesy of the people at Pear Tree Pens. If you're out there reading this, thanks!

Now, to decide which ink to fill the converter with.....

I have an all burgundy M2**/M4** (not sure quite what model it is  ) with an ST nib...does that count? It's VERY wet and flexible.
