2) The Stipula was actually bought last year and funded by sales of other pens. I bought it from an eBay vendor who doesn't ship to the states, so Hilarity Ensued.

Any sign of it yet?

Yes, it's arrived! (thus its appearance in this thread). Very lovely, and, as I thought, the same celluloid as the Brunelleschi in Mar Ligure. Whee!

Not today but a couple days ago my new Pilot Cavalier with and F nib arrived! I don't think there were any reviews of it in the FP reviews section so will do one once I've played around with it more.

Lovely little Eclipse ringtop.

Now, I just need to find someone to get it back to working order...

Foxtail1,

If the cost wasn't too terribly high, perhaps it might be within the realm of possibilities to personally bring your fine Eclipse ringtop up-to-snuff. It would be a labor of love, to be sure. Okay, scary if you've never previously attempted such an endeavor. But what the heck, right?

A similar challenge would definitely compel me to buy the appropriate pen repair tools, polishes and whatnot - and have a go at it! What's the worst that could happen? (Okay, don't answer that... :( ) It's still worth giving it a shot IMHO. If all else fails, you could always calibrate it afterwards!

Cheers!

I just won this Wearever Pennant pen on auction for just under $5. Here's a pic

After a very long break from pen-buying, mostly due to the devaluation of the British quid, a Lamy 2000 turned up today with a lovely smooth fine nib.

More amazingly I got it through the Wanted section of FPN, something that I have had little luck with before.

Take a bow sir, you know who you are.

Today I received a Bexley Onyx BX-701, broad nib, from eBay seller judperl, and 10 Pilot 78G fine nibs from China (the 78Gs I will resell to those who do not inhabit FPN). Still waiting for a Laban Kaiser and Lanbitou, with some spare nibs, from isellpens.com. Picked up by Fedex today, should be here by Wednesday, coming from Mesa AZ to just north of Dallas TX.

I actually have considered that, Clive, but I have an idea that is another slippery slope. I do like your calibration tool though!!

the green and black rippled ebonite Danitrio Tosca I purchased from OldGriz arrived today. I've flushed it out and it will await its turn in rotation.

Way to go Andy! Glad to hear you acquired a Lamy 2000 .... and with a smooth fine nib, to boot!

I noticed the amazing pen on your Wishlist: No. 1 Wanted Pen: Danitrio Densho Urushi (not black). Don't feel alone ... not too many individuals are fortunate enough to afford the luxury of owning a Danitrio masterpiece (including Yours Truly  ). That being said, I - like you - am compelled to own one at some point. Very much so, to tell you the truth.

Each and every time I visit the Danitrio website, it's impossible not to dwell for an inordinately lengthy amount of time due to the abundance of jaw-dropping, awe inspiring beauty. Here are a few examples of what I'm referring to (in no particular order):

Maybe someday, . . . huh Andy?

Cheers!

The Jinhao Dragon I was waiting on arrived this morning. It looks great (a gleefully, magnificently vulgar and over the top design) and I'll be christening it later. As it's obviously promoted as a higher quality pen than my Confuscius memorial, I'm expecting great things.

Dogpoet,

"A gleefully, magnificently vulgar and over the top design." Now that's exactly the way we like 'em, isn't it?!??

I was wondering ... does that irregular surface (artwork) ever snag your clothing or nick your fingers? I know, I know ... a stupid question. It looks like it very well might (never having held one). In any case, it's an amazing looker to be sure!!!

Congratulations...and do enjoy many happy years of creative writing with that regal writing instrument. :happyberet:

Cheers!

I just received a Bexley 2009 Owners Club in Blue/Black Ebonite from Richard Binder. It's surprisingly light compared to similar sized ebonite pens in my "collection".

Steve,

I've had my eye on that very same elegant pen. You've got impeccable taste, Sir! :D This particular photo on Richard Binder's site makes the Blue/Black Ebonite look even classier. What a magnificent pen you've got, Steve, to which I offer my deepest and most heartfelt congratulations!

If it wouldn't be asking too much . . . Would you please comment on your Bexley 2009 Owner's Club at some point in the future ... after you've had sufficient time to put it through its paces? I certainly would appreciate it, as I'm certain would others.

Very Best Regards,
