Opened my Christmas present early-got an MB 146 off the FSOT board. Just started putting it through its paces, but seems like a winner so far.

I got a 146 too!!! From Holts Cigars in Philadelphia. Adam is as helpful as people have said he was

Hope there's room at the MB table for us noobs! :)

I love the classic good looks and so far it fits my hand much better than the Sailor 1911M and Pel 600 &800 I've used in the past. I'm just worried about taking it out in public-don't want to seem like a yuppie poser or status symbol chaser.

Sheesh. Santa can now have some peace & quiet & unwind in front of computer.

And Santa must have something for himself right?

Traded for this 94 & am quite happy, but this also sets a dangerous precedent.

That's not a jackpot, that's a treasure trove!

Did your card have a map with a big 'X' on it?

Seriously good festive present skills...

Yesterday I picked up a nearly brand-new Kosca piston-filler done up in Manhattan celluloid! It came with a rather boring WingFlow nib on it though, so after I cleaned it up a little and greased the piston seals, I knocked out the nib and feed and swapped in a Sheaffer two-tone Lifetime nib. It's much more fun now!

No longer made but still available from a few sellers, squeeze filler and steel (gold plated) nib, looks like a good pen...

The M605 is just gorgeous.

Of the five of them, that's the one I'm not sure I'm keeping. It's a weird thing, because I wanted a solid blue one for so long. I'm going to make myself keep it for a few weeks until the shock of finally having it wears off.

I'm quite fascinated with the Filcao, and between the two, I'd keep the Filcao over the Pelikan (and the Filcao was MUCH less expensive), so that says something.

Today I got the weird Aquila-family pen from chumpowie. Very very nice.

An orangey-black swirly ebonite Pearl with an Edison F nib, a Brian Gray hand-crafted eye-dropper.

Photos planned. I'm still feeling a bit weak in the knees.

I got a Levenger L-Tech fountain pen with a medium nib for Christmas from my Mother-in-Law. The barrel is brass with a silver color finish, it has a stainless steel medium nib that is smooth as glass and a wet writer. It is a little bigger around than my Rotring 600 and the cap threads on and lines up very nicely. I filled it with Levenger Cobalt and am really enjoying it!

Received a MB 334 1/2 from Heather (calluna) yesterday. All the way from Anchorage to Singapore.

My last pen for the year... yes right :)

What I love about buying from FPNers is the items for sale are better than described

Stay well,

Solomon

I've wanted one of these since I discovered the world of real fountain pens but they were already out of production and sought after.

I've seen many come and go for prices I could never justify but then I found a great seller on eBay and bought one for an amazingly low price. It is by far the nicest fountain pen I have ever owned and used.

Very happy :-)
