What Pen Did You Get Today?

I received, yesterday actually, a very nice Pelikan 400 NN from PenFisher on the sales forum. An older version of the pen in excellent condition - all black with a medium semi-flex nib. The condition of the pen was understated and the packing was very good, shipped fast and a very satisfying pen buying experience.

The pen is filled and writing beautifully (the pen, not my handwriting). I'm a happy camper!

I got a nice Balance with the short humped round ball clip. No lifetime, just a #3 nib. Color is marbled grey red veined. oh and it's the slim long version. With matching pencil.

I like it!

A Sheaffer cartridge filler from ebay. Pics later once it's done soaking, pretty grungy right now.

Just got back from my vacation. The last stop was Paris and I could not resist the ST Dupont boutique on the Champs-Élysées.

I broke down and got the new ST Dupont Graphic although I promised myself no more pens for the year.

I survived the Galleries Lafayette and I actually managed to leave the ST Dupont boutique without a purchase but I didn't get very far before I turned around and went back in.

By the way, the service at the boutique is tremendous. They also have a great selection of the Limited Editions.

Traded out my three month old Namiki VP for a FP and BP custom-made of dyed corn cob (purple FP and black-ish BP) plus a repair on a vintage Eagle. The VP is in a good home (my friend usually gets vintage Sheaffers, so this is by far the most modern pen he owns), and my husband and I have a couple of very cool new pens!

Just got my first "real" fountain pen and I'm so excited! It's a Visconti Van Gogh maxi in cappuccino with a fine nib. I haven't inked it yet because I can't decide whether to try the Visconti ink which came with it or my Noodler's standard brown (it would look nice with the pen) or my Noodler's luxury blue. I'm still new to fp's so my selection is limited. Any advice? :cloud9:

None, absolutely none : ((

Maybe on Monday what I am waiting for will arrive.

You have an incoming pen! :)

In other news, late last night I unboxed my Ancora Vesuvio.

The top of the pen contains actual, real, volcano bits from Mt. Vesuvius.

I didn't get it from pensinasia, but here's their page with more photos.

Dear DavidSpitzer;

Hey! Congratulations on getting a really nice fountain pen!

I just got my Pelikan M320 orange barrel in the mail; with Richard Binder's magical talents in custom making an xxxfp nib. :clap1:

I got back my Conklin Crescent-filler from Peter Ford at Melbourne Vintage Pens today. He replaced the old nib with a new Conklin 'Toledo' with plenty of tipping. The nib is wonderfully smooth, delightfully flexy, and so much FUN TO USE!!!

A black Parker Vacumatic, probably a Major, circa 1946. The sac had long since ossified so I pulled the nib & feed to remove the scraps and clean it out. What a nice pen!

I don't know how to fix a Vacumatic, so will send it on to somebody who knows what he's doing. Any suggestions or recommendations?

Very late posting but this weekend I picked up a Sheaffer Crest Vac-Fil and also a Waterman 54. Both will have to be serviced. The 54 is my oldest pen in my collection!
