My first none fountain pen purchase in a very long time. A Michaels Fat Boy P51, its kind of a novelty item, I brought it more for the P51 theme.

The difference between the almost right word & the right word is really a large matter--it's the difference between the lightning bug and the lightning.

Mid-size (ie relatively small) Sailor 1911 Series Profit 14Kt. Black with a fine nib. This may be the pen which gets me to start posting the cap - it's only 135mm long with the cap closed.

Looks simple (and lovely).

Hey, I've worked out how to set up an avatar! Next week I'll move onto tying my own shoelaces...

Well, a Parker 65. Black barrel and chrome cap-in good to excellent used conditon. Took a punt on ebay, it was in a group of ballpoints as a bulk lot. Paid around $30US and also ended up with a Parker Rialto ballpoint and a Parker fibre tip pen which was new to me, plus some junk. Proof bargains do exist on ebay !! Hugh

A Cross Sauvage Zebra Onyx. It's such a beauty! My expectations vere very high and even so it is better than I thought it would be. It is both beautiful and an excellent writer. I'm so very happy. :cloud9:

On Saturday, I paid for part of one of these, but I don't get to bring it home until I pay the balance. Still, it's almost like buying a pen, right?

I got two today.

An ebonite Danitrio Densho and a tamenuri Danitrio Mikado.

I also got a new nib for my Pelikan M800. It's a Binder duopoint fine/.8mm stub I think.

An Omas Paragon (1980s) knocked at my door... I'm so happy :bunny01:

Unfortunately today was a really long work day... so I don't have the will to play with it. Too bad. But she cannot run away now!

I just received back from Dillo my Waterman L'Etalon. He did a "fine" job regrinding it to a fine cursive italic nib. (See a handwritten mini-review here).

1. A Parker Vacumatic Silver Pearl standard-sized single jewel - from Israel :cloud9:

2. A mint, uninked, undipped black, gold-trimmed Aurora Optima :puddle: when I visited my local pen expert to tighten the loose clip on my Tibaldi Modello 60 whose leaking piston he had also repaired last week. This Optima was actually sent to him by Aurora to replace a faulty one. However the owner refused to collect the replacement pen (apparently, he was royally p i s s e d off with Aurora) and since 2 years had passed since then, the pen expert decided to offer it to me to recover his costs off sending the faulty Optima to Italy for replacement.

I do not know whether this qualifies as a 'sumgai' moment for me, but I paid for this spanking new pen, with box but the wrong papers (it was for a 88 :headsmack: ) for the equivalent of US$120 only :bunny01:

*swoons* Where are you getting your Bernini from Deirdre? And how long before you get to take it home? :)

Today, I received this pen, ordered back in August.

I have total envy over this pen, though I'd like one in platinum over kikyo (blue).

I received a Red Lamy Al-star with a medium nib and some violet ink from Pen-City yesterday. I love these things ( I also have a well worn Al-star in grey). Very nice writers, right out of the box.
