What Pen Did You Get Today?

George

Recommended Posts

Just ordered a couple of Pilot 78Gs today is all -- $12 a pop.

Mainly though, I ordered 5 bottles of Noodler's; I was getting a bit

behind on inks. Just covering the basics here: Black, for its bulletproofness;

Ottoman Azure and Navy -- dunno what will be the right blue; Walnut

(hoping it's the brown I want; and Antietam, as I sometimes use red ink at work.

I may not have been much help, but I DID bump your thread up to the top.

Schweet! I just received my Sheaffer Clipper back from OldGriz. He did a wonderful job restoring the innards and it is working beautifully.

Pelikan M215 EF with the Orthogonal (rectangular) pattern. Can't wait to get it home so I can fill it with some PR DC Supershow Blue. Great service from Pam Braun at Oscar Braun Pens who opened the shop so I could pick it up.

Blue Esterbrook sj. w/ 9550 nib. Great writer but I think I'm done with esterbrooks for now. They dont seem to excite me in the same way anymore.

A Corinthian with a Fine nib from Yard-o-led, courtesy of Pam Braun. Oooo, is it a sweet pen. Since I don't write with many pens posted, the heft is just right. Smooth wet writer and the warmth of the sterling makes the entire writing experience top-notch. :cloud9:

A black Laban Maya with Stirling Silver trim. It has a medium nib, but I can see it's going to be thirsty. Looking forward to keeping it busy.

I just found two pens at a Michigan antique store. #1 is an Epenco lever fill in a brick colored marbled acrylic, medium looking nib. #2 is a Diamond Medal Co with a 14k #3 nib. It looks like woodgrain ebonite and needs a sac. Also, an elderly friend gave me his Sheafer Snorkel desk set from the early 60s.

Not a bad week.

Today I bought a Libelle Nature roller ball, my first roller ball pen. BTW, where was this pen manufactured, anyone know?

Today I received this sweet 61, never been inked. Of course I went and immediately filled it and had some help while doing so!

Stunning celluloid!

You are right Deirdre, that celluloid is STUNNING, if you hadn't mentioned it I would've thought it was resin. It's so rare to see such contrasting colours in celluloid! Congrats on the new pen!

a Pelikan Souveraen M600 green Stresemann stripe with M-nib.

I prefer a bigger M800 but sometimes the M800 is too big for some of my shirt pocket.

I am trying to get use to the shorter size. Sometimes I use it unposted and the junction between the barrel and the blind piston cap is just on the web between my thumb and my index finger.
