My Sailor 1911 in bright yellow - it's fab and I'm looking for another now (perhaps in burgundy).

Which version did you get? I had a sailor 1911M in yellow and sold it :bonk:. Will purchase another one day.

Enjoy it, a great pen.

I got a Richard Binder Pelikan 200 with a 0.9mm italic cursive nib. I like the feel and weight, very light. It feels like a student pen in that it's plastic, green marble. The nib is darn smooth.

A vintage Waterman Clergy pen. I have been waiting and waiting and waiting to find one at a decent price to use as a fixer upper project. It arrived in yesterday's mail. It's in pretty good condition, just needs a new sac and some clean up and it will be good as new. The bonus is that the nib is a nice little semi-wet noodle!!

Pilot Vanishing Point, fine nib, blue Carbonesque. Lays down a beautiful fine yet wet line. First fill: Diamine Turquoise, which looks fantastic on the page.

I got a couple of serious vintage firsts for my collection:

A copper Esterbrook J.

A grey Sheaffer Snorkel (a Clipper, I think).

They both came mostly cleaned out of ink, but there was just enough in each to demand I finish the job before filling. They're both drying. I have adopted the practice of filling most pens with Waterman Black so I have a baseline for evaluation, but I want to ink both of these pens immediately. I'm not sure I can really justify having a Reform 1745 (nearly empty), a Kaigelu (filled yesterday), and these two pens all inked with Waterman Black at the same time. I might ink the Snorkel and deal with the J later.

I also got a registered mail package. It might be any one of two orders I made. One came from China. The other is coming from a user here from parts unknown. I'll have to go to the post office to find out, which is good because I owe somebody ink samples.

Got a JinHao X450 M in pearl white with gold furniture. Haven't inked it yet, as I am with my bride at our son's watching his kids while his wife is at the store, because he is sick and prone to sudden sleepness, and the kids are sick. Will ink it later. My wife even thinks it is very pretty. Also got a Classic Pen Set with 6 pens, including fountain pen, and enough refills and cartridges to last a lifetime. Had one once before, and I actually liked the foutain pen. Lots of pens, and under $7 from eBay, including shipping.

Actually got various pens - two Guider Kirans and a black Vacumatic. The Guiders (Indian pens) came from Steve Braun and write very smoothly. One is brilliant red and blue and the other is yellow and blue. Great acrylics! I've been using them to correct my copyedited book manuscript. They are eyedroppers and they start up every time - no problem! Also, I like the Fine (steel) nibs.

I haven't fired up the Vacumatic yet. I love those pens - so reliable and pretty.

These pens I got at the DC Supershow on Saturday. Yipee!

I also received in the mail a Parker Ellipse today. Since I first saw them, I wanted one, but then I dropped it. Now I have one, acquired from Inkquest. Well, I have one of my grails, in the blue rather the red version. At the DC show I saw one vendor trying to sell the same model at three times the price I got. New, of course, not used like mine, but mine is like new - I think I got a good deal!

A gorgeous teal Parker "51" demi with a medium nib. I love my "51"s and this is my first demi. I keep telling myself no more "51"s... ha! There's always one that is too interesting to pass up. I am not a collector. Really. I'm not. :ninja:

Pilot's tealish iroshizuku syo-ro is going to be perfect for it.

Three old style Hero 329s from Nepal.

I have a feeling they're fakes for two reasons. The first is that at least one of the three writes wider than any Hero I have ever seen (I love this about it, fake or not). The second is that it takes a ton of pumps of the converter to fill the pen. I know I easily did at least 20 pumps and eventually gave up because I had enough ink in the pen to test it, not because it was full to the brim.

For $15 shipped for the trio, I'm not upset either way.

TWO Rotring 600s. One a Fine and the other a Medium.

Each $79.95.

The place I bought it from had obviously had them for YEARS, and had never updated them to latest retail (which is around $120-150). The sales guy was about to sell them for 7.95, incredulous that a PEN could cost EIGHTY dollars.

I don't know if this makes me SUMGAI, but I did not hesitate to snap them up.

A long time search is now at an end...

Just received a wonderful bargain from Kevin Cheng (winedoc). He just had a batch of pens that were originally made for Sharper Image as rollerballs and needed to be cleared out. They have been converted to FPs with medium IPG nibs; if mine is typical they are wonderfully smooth. Threaded cap, all metal construction. It's pretty heavy but the cap is just about 50% of the total, so unposted it's not too bad at all. The only problem I can find with it is that the clip is so strong that I can't actually clip it to anything. (BTW, Kevin's pictures on the Pentrace Green Board are way better than mine.)

Got a copper-colored $33 pen from Winedoc. Have not yet inked it. I can hardly wait. Now I'll have to sell my crosshatched $33 pen, to mollify my wife.

Parker 45 Flighter from eBay. Great quality to the pen but the nib STINKS.

Gold medium nib that is like a fire hose and on close inspection looks like it has been bent in the past.

Anyway purchased a fine nib from a fellow FPNer so hopefully soon I will have it at my desk being used loaded with Sapphire Blue ink.
