Today was a nickel/pink gold Retro 1951 rollerball. This thing is fantastic for $20! Colorado Pen had it as a tarnished lot and just today I discovered that they're all gone. The tarnish is minimal and it actually looks kind of cool, it's only on the ring.

Just a few hours ago, I received my new Pelikan M215 (F nib) in the mail from Richard Binder. I have loaded it up with some PR American Blue ink and am very pleased!

Lamy Al-Star in Metallic blue with fine nib and additional 1.1 italic. Both are great nibs - very smooth.

The pen is as others have remarked, a pleasant metallic pale gray-blue in incandescent light, metallic lilac natural light. Quite cool.

For now I'll use the F nib. Though the italic is quite comfy. More like a stub in that it isn't sharp on the corners. That's good, I didn't want sharp/crisp corners.

Have Black Magic Blue in it. A dark blue that looks purplish in certain lights. Perfect ink for the pen.

Another VP. This time a black/rhodium. I have 3 other VPs, but this one stands head and shoulders above the rest in looks. I just bought the body, but also bought a 0.8 stub from elsewhere. Ooh, what a superb combination!

Now all that I need is a stealth VP!

Finally have my Waterman Edson Black Diamond in my hands.

The mat finished platinum cap sets off the high gloss platinum clip and clip ring, giving the pen a 1950s Modernist look.

I think the Black Diamond has the perfect look for a Tuxedo pen - understated, elegant, with an upscale retro feel.

Smooth buttery nib, nice wet flow. Why Waterman will not ship this handsome pen with a Broad nib is just a mystery to me.

On Thursday I purchased the Libelle Summer Breeze FP. I purchased it at Swisher Pen while vacationing in Virginia Beach.

I just ordered a Roting Core also a few minutes ago from Swisher. They were on sale and I have 4 different ink samples ordered from Pear Tree Pen. I wanted something to test inks with. I did have a Roting pen and pencil set 15 years ago that I really liked.

I did some "blind" shopping - bought two pens that had no description, only very blurry photo of 10+ batch of pens to choose from. Paid $2 for each. One of them is probably silver Wing Sung 322 and the other one is a clone of Parker Lucky Curve Filigree, probably of Chinese origin as well. Both seemed nice, so I acted fast and used the BuyItNow button :)

Check out this rare beauty. I picked it up at Staples for $2.00 just for fun, I've been mashing on it pretty well and it's actually kind of fun to abuse it.

So, I went to the local pen shop "just to look" and came back with a really nice Esterbrook Dollar Pen. How cool! The guys there helped me try out over half a dozen pens, changed the nib on the Estie to fit my tiny handwriting, and even smoothed the nib when it scratched a bit. Also, I found out that I like tiny pens :D
