Jowo #6 Nib Units: What Pens Will They Fit In?

Recommended Posts

I have a very nice one from Springhill Creations in the UK, and it sits very well in my Jinhaos. (I move it around.)

Just wondering what other pens - preferably cheap ones - will accept both the nib and feed.

Thanks.

Noodler's Ahabs and Konrads will also fit a JoWo #6 nib; so will some larger Indian ebonite pens. Apart from that, and the usual Jinhao suspects (x450, x750, 159) I'm struggling a little - most of the other pens I've come across that take a larger nib are also more expensive (Retro 1951 Tornado, Diplomat Excellence and Aero, TWSBI Vac 700 and Micarta being a few examples).

There are a number of Franklin-Christoph pens that take the #6. You can check that out on their website. My F-C #19 takes a #6 Jowo.

The Nemosyne Singularity also takes a JoWo # 6 nib. Although it is less expensive to buy the Singularity with its own branded nib. Their nibs may require a bit of adjustment but seem to write as well as the JoWo's.

Enjoy,

Some of the Indian pens offered by Peyton Street Pens use JoWo #6s.

Many Ranga models take the JoWo #6 screw-in nib units which are comprised of nib, feed and screw-in housing. You'll need to differentiate between those and the force-fit sections of certain pens which can accept the nib and feed alone.
