The other day I pre-ordered the Leonardo Grande Momento Zero Pura in blue aqua with ruthenium trim. I blame Figboot for his YouTube review!

Where did you order them?  I’ve had a harder time finding them available.

While not completely impulsive, I recently bought a Santini Safira with a Medium nib that writes on the fine side.  Like many fountainpens, pictures don’t do justice to the materials.  The blue is electric, contrasting beautifully with flecks of silver, black/navy, with Rhodium trim.  The nib is a lovely writer.

What a beautiful pen. Very tempting.  Not to forget the different nibs they offer.

Pen Chalet. I had $20 off with them and with a discount code also got 10% off on top of that. It's a pre-order but should ship soon.

A Nonagon Abissi with flexy stub, which was the intended purchase and also my first all-ebonite pen.  The impulse buy is the Libra Capri with flexy CI nib because I don't have a CI and it's about time I did 😊.  Also, a shout-out to Katrina, who responded to my initial enquiry within minutes.

I've sold several watches during the past week which is my only excuse for another impulsive (except I've been thinking about it for a while) buy from Chatterley.  It's celluloid, it's Montegrappa, and it's BIG.  And Bryant also deserves a mention for the speed of response to my questions about shipping to the UK.

Now I need to hope that none of the above get caught in customs for too long.

Just ordered an Otto Hutt design 07, medium nib, in the black lacquer on platinum body option (instead of Sterling silver).  From Pen Chalet.

Just bought some small Tomoe River A5 notebooks and some other small notebooks that I really don't need. Will probably end up giving them away at the next Commonwealth Pen Show - whenever that is...

I’ve liked the color on the Abissi, however I ‘m never sure about faceted pens for me.    I don’t think Katrina sleeps, she’s so responsive.  Items they’ve shipped to me arrive quickly in the US.  Congratulations on your order.

Thank you!  I blame this forum - Santini wasn't on my radar until I saw mention of their pens here.

I am afraid I am headed in the same direction. Of course I am only doing it to help the global economy!

Yup, that's the reason!!!

Just ordered a green M800 (F) from CultPens for $340 - after the US10 coupon.

That long-wanted-but-no-way-planned-to-be-purchased-today bird will be the second pen I have impulse ordered today between $300-400 and been thrilled about the price. (The first was a used vermilion Custom 845 over on pen_swap.)

What even is this hobby??!!

Oh my...how far you've come!!!

Shameful.

At least I can blame this one on having sold a bunch of pens, 90% of the money of which went towards these two pens. Maybe that’s not such a bad thing, consolidating.

I was looking that way too, but after reading and watching a bit more, I think they might just be a little bit too big for me.

So I bought a 100 year old Waterman and a couple of 'project' Conway Stewarts instead.

As soon as I have it! It will join the 52 1/2 ripple that came to live with me last week, but sadly not the utterly beautiful eyedropper I missed out on because I was too busy editing my grocery delivery order for tomorrow - I really must work on getting my priorities right!

You mean, you put food and sustenance before your pen addiction? How gauche.

You are correct, a reassessment of your priorities ARE in order!! LOL

Those both sound beautiful. And yes, what even is this.

After a snap (but long-contemplated) Franklin-Christoph purchase (picture below--Model 31 Omnis, antique glass finish, medium cursive italic nib), I've been trying so hard to be good, but then I threw out a cheap bid on a cool Underwood that looks to be from the 1940s, give or take--I have this weird fascination with pens by pen-adjacent companies, and have had good luck with them so far--and forgot about it, until I found out I'd won. The nib is very soft and smooth, just delightful; the sac is long since dried out and the lever will need a little attention, but I'll post proper pics when it's out of the shop.
