My last impulse buy is a vintage Sheaffer Tuckaway vac-fill.

Wanted it for a long time but somehow always miss them on Ebay. Now waiting for the pen to slowly crawl its way to Singapore

Finally bought a Parker 51 to experience 'all the fuss' myself.

Cool beans! What color and nib width did you get, and did you get an Aerometric or a 51 Vac?

A totally impulse bought, blue Kaweco Sport Ice Broad.

I had Diamine Cobalt Jazz hopping in and out of my cart this evening (don't usually do shimmer but that colour!) and decided it needed an eyedropper, demo friend with a broad nib. Shame there weren't any double broads really.

That's a very cute and beautiful pen. I just cleaned one today. Mine is EF though :)

Thanks. It's a grey with a fine italic nib. Aeromatic filler.

My first and I chose this one because of the nib.

Yeah, that nib sounds pretty special. Congratulations.

Not a pen, but ink:

I just ordered 2 bottles of Parker Superchrome Blue-Black. :yikes: Supposedly NOS and full, but I decided to get a backup in case dried out.

Yes, yes, I know all about this ink's pen-eating powers.

I am willing to donate one of my lower condition Parker 21s (and/or maybe a 45, using a plastic slide converter) to see what happens. :roller1:

Alas, I got another Sheaffer pen on impulse and feel that I am drifting towards another one.

I'm still looking for a Sheaffer cartridge fountain pen, the one I used to use. I'm not happy with the School pen I got (the cap goes on with a snap, which sprays ink on the cap and nib) so I'm trying another one.

My eBay automatic search identified a cheap listing for Sheaffer Award, Intensity, Prelude, Sagaris, Sentinal and Switch. The Intensity and Prelude are tempting. I already have a Sagaris and like it.

Fountain Pens: Pelikan Souveran M805, Pelikan Petrol-Marble M205, Santini Libra Cumberland, Waterman Expert II, Waterman Phileas, Waterman Kultur, Stipula Splash, Sheaffer Sagaris, Sheaffer Prelude, Osmiroid 65

I watched an Aurora 88 roller ball on the 'bay. It has a black barrel with gold cap, which appears to be a discontinued model. After a day I clicked "Buy it now". Condition is good, not great, but the price was excellent. I did not need a second roller ball but this will go with my small gathering of Aurora fountain pens.

It took a Waterman roller ball refill and writes quite well. My itch has been scratched (for now, of course).

Regards,

Craig

My grail pen was a Visconti HS BA, med nib. I bought one in 2011, which I use daily. I did not purchase another pen until our government decided to give us a stimulus check. I figured Italy needed a little stimulus so I purchased a Midnight in Florence, also a med nib. That has been my go to since I got it, along with my BA. In the back of my mind, I always wanted an MB 149, and to try a broad nib. It came in today. A vintage 1970, and it is in perfect condition, and writes great. I doubt seriously that I will get my lottery grail, Montegrappa Chaos at $5k. I hate snakes, but something about that pen calls me.

1 Homo Sapien BA Maxi & Mech Pencil, HS Misnight in Florence, 2 Van Goghs 1 Blue Ocean Midi S Nib/1 Cappuccino Midi 14k Trim, 3 MBs 149/144/221, 2 Wm Phileas 1 Blue w/ mech pencil, 1 Demo, 1 Snorkel Sent., 3 MVs Regatta/Invincia/Artista,2 EB J - BSP,I am Not Affiliated with any website, company or product I might mention on this site."

Today! Today was my last impulsive pen purchase, which was a fine point Sailor Pro Slim demonstrator. *shakes fist in the general direction of EndlessPens*

I've been moving and trying to build a house and running myself ragged for the last year, and just last week replaced the bent nib on my TWSBI mini vac, dug out my box of inks, and started to feel that old itch again. lol

Today! Today was my last impulsive pen purchase,

I'm torn between two songs

♫ There's got to be a morning after ♫

♫ The sun'll come out, tomorrow ♫

Both of which imply a new opportunity for a "last impulsive"...

My last impulse buy was the Picasso 918 on July 26. I went for one year without buying

any pens, but fell off the wagon in Jan. 2020. Purchased:

1. Wearever Pennant

2. Jinhao Centennial

3. Baoer 508

4. Pilot Varsity (7 pk) for journaling

5. 2 Platinum Plasirs

6. Jinhao 250 (Swapped original nib--now a very smooth writer)

7. Jinhao Mako Sharks (12 pk) (Purchased for fun)

8. Picasso 916

9. Lamy Al Star

10. Jinhao 159 (Black & gold--Poor man's MB)

11. Moonman M8 (Gold flecks & pink rose)

12. Pilot Kakuno

13. TWSBI Eco

14. Jinhao Royal

15. Pilot Retro Pop Green

16. Pilot Retro Pop Orange

17. Hero 5028 - with 1.1, 1.5 & 1.9 stub nibs

Thank goodness these are not high-end pens, however, having smoothed some nibs, I have many

good writers.

I'm expecting a pretty green Wing Sung 3008 with an opaque cap and silver trim. It will be a long time getting here, but it's on it's way from a seller I've ordered from before so I'll make a note in my diary as to when to think it might be lost, forget all about it and have a lovely surprise when it turns up.

That's one of the advantages of the memory going south with age: surprises!

Will work for pens...

Umm, today? :yikes:

I will check back with y'all in a few months, hopefully, with my PenBBS mega order! I couldn't decide which ones to try first, so. . .

I am also eyeing a Wingsun 699, Hero 100, and Hero 565, so I daresay they may be my next "impulse" purchases. . .
