Hi @boilermaker1975 I have quite a number of Retro 51 fountain pens, rollerballs and mechanical pencils. Of those in your photo, I have the Lincoln, Escape, and Stealth black. The Lincoln was my first Retro 51.

Totally unplanned and unexpected. I just ordered some Diamine inks courtesy a Christmas gift card. I admitted to that in the Impulsive Inks thread, what I didn't say is that I added a Narwhal Nautilus Cephalopod with Silver trim and a fine nib. Oops.

Will work for pens...

Or, it could be a wise investment in a hobby which will an enjoyable part of your future.

Well, I am already loving all of the research and exploration of this side of the hobby. So even if I end the day with a few cheap broken pens I’m already pleased with my purchase :)

I love the Lincoln. You really have to see it in person to appreciate it.

The pen I’m receiving in the mail today was a complete impulse buy. It’s a Franklin-Christoph 46 Ghost Smoke special edition with the 1.9mm music nib. Should be fun to play with. I also got it to house some other Jowo #6 nibs I’m looking at. This will be my first FC pen after years of going back and forth on getting one.

I couldn't resist this one and I'm just sorry it wasn't out yet when I was in the store in November! Zodiac Snake Profit Lite Wajima Makie, BUNGUBOX x SAILOR. I've already got a custom grind planned for the B nib I chose.

Unfortunately, I have a few impulse buys lately!

I bought a Kaweco sport in a gorgeous Teal, which arrived today and I am very happy with.

I have also purchased two pen from @Paul-in-SF: a Sheaffer Life White Dot and a Pelikan T120. I am VERY much looking forward to receiving these, which should arrive next week.

I was fairly good in 2024 and didn’t buy as many pens as previous years, so I’m not sure what happened these first few days of 2025. Yesterday, I ordered a Sailor 1911S Wicked Witch of the West (M), and then today, I went to a store and accidentally bought the Vanishing Point Seashore!

I'm kicking myself that when I got the 1911S Wicked Witch and Loch Ness Monster pens, I didn't get them with the nibs swapped from what I ordered (the Loch Ness Monster has an MF nib and the Wicked Witch has a "music" nib).  And when they came I thought I'd accidentally been sent the wrong pen by mistake because the promo photos for the Loch Ness Monster made the pen look more blue-grey and it was ACTUALLY more of a teal blue.  And of course at first I had to ONLY use Sailor inks for them because of the warranties on the coating on the nib, and I had trouble finding a yellow ink (because, well, Wicked Witch of the WEST -- I grew up reading the Oz books).  And now finding that I like writing with the MF nib on the Loch Ness Monster WAY more but am not as enamored of the color.

Hey, just looked up the the Vanishing Point Seashore and that's a nice looking pen.  Too bad for me that VPs are a bit too large & awkward for my hand, and of course they don't do all those cool colors and designs for Decimos (heck -- it wasn't until last year that Pilot sold ALL standard Decimo colors in the US.... :glare:).

This Wicked Witch of the West will be my first Sailor Medium. My other 4 Sailor PGS are all MF.

When I was at the store today, what first caught my eye was a green Decimo that I had never seen before. A 2019 special edition. I was actually wanting to buy both until I looked closer at the Decimo. The clicker had lots of scratches, so I only got the VP.

Then when I came home, I looked up more Decimos, I found an eBay seller that has lots of vibrant Decimo colors. Check out “Miyabi Japan Online Shop”. So many pretty Decimo colors!!! Must resist!

I only have two Decimos, but both were colors that they didn't initially sell in the US (the Light Grey and the Dark Blue).  For a long time they only sold HALF of the standard colors in the US (and the "girly" ones at that -- whereas I wanted the grey and the dark blue ones because they were just classy looking; I even contacted Pilot USA and say "Why is that?  Because you sell all SORTS of cool colors and designs for the full size Vanishing Points, which are too large and awkward for me to use...."  And got told, "Oh, it's a 'marketing decision'...."  And while I did end up getting the Dark Blue from a US retailer, I ended up getting the Light Grey one from a Japanese vendor on eBay and saving a LOT of money -- even with paying for Economy Air Mail from Japan (hey, Pilot's loss... [shrug]).

There was a seller on eBay a couple of years ago in Japan who had a purple one (not the light purple "standard" color -- that one was, I think, an LE color only sold at some pen show in Japan at some point) but I couldn't justify the price being asked, and of course that listing is long since over.... :(

I just snapped up a medium nibbed black Wahl-Eversharp Symphony series 717 (possibly, I need to see the trim level up close). I love these nibs, the heart shaped breather holed ones have been nice and soft so far, if it’s a rigid one, it can be ground italic. They’ve been solid and inexpensive so far. Maybe the pen gods will send me a blue one next.

I got this vintage  sailor 1911 Lady pen . I guess it is similar to Sailor Pro-gear  slim  pen but it is chubby than those lady pens. I was curious so I bought it. When I receive  it I can compare it to my other Pro-gear slim pens I have.
