Thank you all. It really is a treat to write with, and feels quite comfortable. I'm glad I acted on my impulse.

I went ahead and ordered the Optima Grey Cracked Ice and Blue with silver trim to round out my collection but since I'd been wanting them for some time I don't really consider them impulse buys. That goes to the Caleidoscopio Luce Gialla.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

@400 FP, & 50 MP/BP. Went from a start bid of €20 to €1000 in the book....my limit. I bid 1100....and that was it. Winning bid 1,500.

There were three piston Kaweco semi-flex Sports with small MP in etuies...and a number of Osmias..........the MB's didn't really interest me....some of the 2xx ones could have. a normal 234 1/2.

I saved 200-300 hours of work....and cost of repair. So sadly...lazy.

In reference to P. T. Barnum; to advise for free is foolish, ........busybodies are ill liked by both factions.

Ransom Bucket cost me many of my pictures taken by a poor camera that was finally tossed. Luckily, the Chicken Scratch pictures also vanished.

You can't win them all.  Sometimes, it's better to let a few things go than take on a whole lot of pens and work.

and work.

To support the 30 pens I really wanted, would have taken all my time for month.

I think I'll go back to chasing individual pens on Ebay and Auction houses....I think I'll limit my self to Osmia.

I do regret the mint 400nn set not falling into my hands...but I have 3 400nn's....And something that mint would have to end up as a wall display, with the shrunken heads.

Nik Pang is the bomb and a good buddy. Glad you picked that up, the Conklin lapis pens are always lovely.

I told myself I had all of the Lamys I will ever need.  Then this showed up on Endless Pens (at a discount).

It said (2024) but I suspect Mitsubishi may be releasing NOS.  They had the matte red as well.  Great deals with their initial discount combined with their discount code.  I always said that if I found a purple or red Studio, I would try to get it.  I just figured it would be a used pen from the previous decade.

Impulse adjacent as I went to the PNW Pen show and did intend to get a pen but I didn’t know which one going in. I ended up with a Zodiac Pen Co Pisces in Seafoam Abalone. I love the way the body pinches in toward the end and flares back out, that spot rests in the webbing of my hand and makes the pen so comfortable.

I bought a Good Blue titanium flex nib with custom feed from Thomas Ang and fitted that into the Zodiac section. The feed is made of modern materials and the fins are laser etched, it’s designed to be as absorbent as ebonite but with more environmentally friendly materials. It works really well! And the nib is so wonderfully bouncy, very easy to flex without much pressure., but doesn’t spread too far too quickly so it adds lovely character to my writing.

Wow!  That's a great looking pen!  I completely understand why you just had to have it!  :puddle:

I just looked up the technical specs on Studios on the Goulet Pens website and the Studio might be JUST at the limit (weight wise) of what my "girly" hands could manage.  (I'd been looking at the dark blue Studio a while back).

The Studio does have a little more heft than the 2000.  You can feel the extra 5 or 6 grams but it is a nicely balanced weight.  I have one of the Stainless Studios which are a little lighter with the rubber section.  However, part of the fun of owning a Studio are those rich colors!  Looking forward to getting my hands on this red one.

Oh, good to know.  I had tried someone's 2000 a few years ago and thought it was too heavy for me -- but since that time I've gotten a few TWSBIs and that's increased my weight tolerance threshold a bit).

A pen I'd long wanted to have but was always just beyond my max budget, which has since decreased, or some other interesting pen came along.

Bought second hand, it looks new; the F nib feels a little rough even though the tines look aligned, but seems to be improving with use. Managed to get some ink behind the inner cap. Very nice combination with Bleu de Minuit, which was the idea.
