I think Ken Crooker joined in our KC virtual pen club meetings earlier on when those took the place of in person meetings during the pandemic. He is in St. Louis.

It was not a pen I bought, so it does not count 🙂. But with the marble deskset I bought for my pens, comes a Merlin 44, as well as some other pens and some bottles of ink. I hope the Merlin will write. If it is even a  bit like the 62 I have, it is a great writer.

Last night, after I went to bed, I was thinking of a TWSBI Eco. So I looked up the Caffe version, and bought it. Naughty. I do like coffee themed pens.

Another after I went to bed purchase is a Kaweco Sport transparent Carmine from Galen Leathers. I chose the 1.1mm stub nib which added $3 to the price. I watched a couple videos about the Carmine Sport. It seems Galen has collaborated with Kaweco on four so far. I missed out on the first two Cognac and Violet. Goldspot also collaborates with Kaweco to make transparent tinted pens. I have three of theirs, including a purple one from this year.

@Doug C What nib did you get with it, seems expensive for a steel nib.

It is pricey but I just have been lusting after it. I ordered a fine but Sent an email asking for a medium if possible.

Amazon Japan has done it again. This Koshu Inden from Sailor was $175 with free shipping. That's 1/3 to 1/2 less than the prices I've seen elsewhere. In a couple of weeks I'll find out whether it has the familiar Sailor nib or the same new design as my King of Pen I posted recently.

What does the texture feel like? Does it feel like cloth or lacquer?

Also what does it roughly weigh?

Does it look matte or glossy finish?

It won't be delivered from Japan until early June. So I don't know.

Managed to snag a Parker Sonnet Ciselé ~ 1990’s era. Waiting for delivery is a test patience for sure!

been hunting for one in good shape for a while and finally found it, absolutely love the design of those pens!

A 1970s Platinum that I've never seen anywhere else except in a Platinum catalog, where it is listed simply as <楓> (Kaede, i.e. maple). Probably based on the BelAge model. I like that the wood is part of the clip.

It's on its way to me now. A couple of the seller's images:

What do you like about it?  @Doug CDoes it feel like a pen wrapped in cloth?

Can you post some actual photos?
