That's just the front and rear of one pen, the #1 (“Opening”) model in the LE collection.

It'll join these:

Ah. Thanks for the clarification.

I won the auction for the Eversharp Skyline. I bid with 45 seconds to go. A bid came in at 5 seconds. With tax it’s under $100.

Sorry to be late, but I think that´s a reasonable price for that model if it is in working order. The price depends very much on the model. The fully striped specimens usually go a lot higher than the solid coloured and the half striped ones and the 14 K version is a completely different affair alltogether. And of course there are very nice pen and pencil sets. 😁

I think (production of) the Plumix and Pluminix models has been discontinued, for quite some time now.

Ah darn.  I didn’t know this. Well, at least I have enough of them for nib swapping with opaque Preras.

@carola thank you for the information. I appreciate the help you gave.  My brother was encouraging me to get that pen because he has one. 😉

After all that talk about Lamy being sold and how they might or might not continue, I impulse bought a B-nibbed Lamy 2000 in black macrolon. I´ve already had the stainless steel version for a few years and I love it, never feeling the need to get the original macrolon version. But suddenly there was this urge, triggered by a maybe not even real possibility of missing out on the design icon, and so I went to ebay, found the best offer, bought it and today it was delivered. Right now I am laughing at myself a bit, but well, the pen wasn´t too expensive and it is a nice match with the stainless steel, so all is well.

I'm not remotely interested in a Lamy 2000 -- but I understand your rationale entirely.  It's why I ended up a while back with the 2019 al-Star Gold and Black SE while trying to order enough stuff from Cult Pens to hit the threshold for free shipping -- especially to the US.  I only vaguely remember when that pen came out, and was going "Meh...." at the time.  But somehow the photo of it on the Cult Pens website caught my eye and suddenly I was going, "Ooooh -- Steelers colors!" (Then I had trouble deciding which former player to name the pen after.... -- John Stallworth (who was still playing when I first moved to Pittsburgh, and who did NOT look remotely like a defensive player -- or even a football player, for that matter: he looked like an accountant!); or Troy Polamalu, who could miraculously appear out of nowhere to stop runs by opposing players, he was so fast and knew the game SOOOO well (I once heard an interview where he got asked if he was going to be a coach or a sports commentator when he retired from playing, and he said, "Well, actually, I'd like to be a history teacher..." (and I bet if he did that, his students would pay RAPT attention and try to ace all the tests! :D)

Last week at the Baltimore Pen Show, I picked up an Edison Collier Grande, in a Jonathon Brooks “Combustion” finish.

Congratulations! The Lamy 2000 is a classic icon. I too bought one on impulse in an airport shop that for unexplainable reasons had marked the pen down to a very attractive price. It is part of my regular rotation, and I enjoy it every time I pick it up.

I ordered a TWSBI Eco Dark Sapphire with an EF nib. Am a bit wary cos I've had several not-great of those nibs (and a very misaligned 1.1) and less than wonderful resolution from TWSBI and the retailer when I sort help on the last one. Le sigh. That blue with silvery-trim is enticing enough to take the risk.

Last year was the year of blue pens for me. Prior to that I had a few teal and turquoise,  but nothing properly blue. Something changed. Maybe I finally got over the bad memories of high school Bic...

What I really wanted was a Platinum #3776 in blue with the rhodium trim, but that proved too spendy the whole year. Yes, I did buy other blue pens, all less expensive, all with other trims. Hopefully this TWSBI will scratch the itch. And be a very reliable workhorse filled with the prettiest blue ink I can find for it. There's always hope, I hope.
💙

Will work for pens...

I found a black barreled, steel capped Platignum 14c M cartridge pen on the bay. I think it’s a Graduate Pressmatic, but I’m not sure. I have these Platignum cartridges that don’t fit the other Platignum I have (oddly enough, a Sailor cartridge fits) , so maybe they fit this one.

The result of some insomnia driven browsing on Ebay. (I've read some mixed reviews but it turns out I really love this pen!)

Just inked this up with a Caran d'Ache blue cartridge.

VERY impressed with the smoothness of it's writing. Also, even though it is stamped "M", it writes more toward a "F" line.

Oh wow, that’s a looker! Have you dropped pics in the green pen club thread yet? I was just on their site yesterday looking around. I’m curious about their quill nibs. Their pens are gorgeous.

Would you please post a photo?  I’d like to see what the TW blue cracked ice looks like.

We have a green pen club?  I never knew - I’ll get on it. My nib shows no signs of flex but I love it.  As an EF I’d rate it as slightly thicker than a Japanese medium. It’s nicely tuned.  Not sure if it was made in Italy or if they were contracting out to Bock at this time. I haven’t experienced any of the problems of skipping or drying out that some of the reviewers have experienced.
