Go big or go home. Well done!

Was checking out Levenger True Writers on the Bay and scrolled past the actual items and saw an Omas Milord with a fine nib AND less than 3 minutes to ending. Watched for a (literally) minute or so, placed a bid (but did not hit the bid button until approx 5 seconds from the end and I won.

it's is supposed to arrive on Monday.

Definitely looking forward to Monday's mail 🙂

Arrived safely on Monday and looks quite nice. It's a little smaller than I thought and still very comfortable to use.

Filled it with Diamine Aurora Borealis and it writes very smoothly with a small amount of flex.

Well, off to work shortly and looking forward to writing more with this Omas Milord later.

Thanks for listening... 🙂

Not a pen, but perhaps a penna? A new extra fine nib for one of my Lamy 2000s, to replace the medium it currently sports.

That'd be a pennino. :D

@Tashi_Tsering The picture of the Art Deco pens on miniature train tracks is a hilarious homage to the famous train drawing. Kudos on every level!

Thanks! I'm glad you noticed the homage :)

Contemplated the evergreen scholar and was waiting for  St Patrick's day to do the deed, but on impulse late last night, said, 'Oh, why not?'  It's on the way.

I'll admit that I would not have caught the "nudge nudge wink wink" about that train artwork.  But that's also why I don't really like the look of Skylines -- they're just WAAAAY to "Art Deco" for my taste just in general.

And very impulsive it was, too. This Montblanc model 30 from the 1930s was zapping on my wavelength from the moment I saw it; it took maybe 5 minutes to read the listing twice and go after it. 5 days later and here it is. What a beauty, tight as a drum and writes like heaven. I don't usually go matchy-matchy with inks, but I put Iroshizuku Fuyu-gaki in it.

Haven't bought anything for a while (I think the last one was the M600 Black Tortoise) but thought I'd see what's going on with Aurora. Came across a Mini Terra; the pics on first site made is look an almost flourescent green and I almost jumped on it (last one!) but a second site show it a more meh color, the same as the full size Primavera, so I passed.

But, then... I stumbled onto a Cappuccino Tortoise Shell. Like the Rosa Caleidoscopo, my immediate responsee was OMG, I must have this pen! And - YOLO, right? - it departed Taiwan DHL facility this (yesterday?) morning, hopelly be here Mon or Tues.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

Not into Montblancs but that is a very good looking pen.

This was exactly my sentiment when I saw the picture.

Thank you, I think so too. And I don't think I mentioned that it is just the right size for me -- I can write with it either posted (160 mm) or unposted (126 mm) and the section diameter is quite reasonable at 10.3 mm. I didn't measure how much ink it holds, it is a "push-knob" (i.e. basically button) filler, and it seemed to hold a decent amount.

Here is the Leonardo MZ in a material by Brooks called "Forced Patina". A run of 100 for Pen Chalet, who did a nice job of picking an example that leaned to the earth tones and away from the turquoise. It really does give the impression of patina in progress.

Wow, that's stunning!

I finally gave in and ordered a Pelikan M200 Cafe Creme from Chatterley Pens. They were down to their last one, so I gave in and nabbed it.

I also ordered a NOS Pelikan W. German "Stormtrooper" black and white set from a German eBay seller.

Obviously, I've gone insane with the joy of getting "a deal."

On the other hand, I can hum The Imperial March to myself every time I write with that "Stormtrooper" set.
