This Snorkel. I always wanted one and Sheaffer is my favourite brand.

Got it from Ebay and it's fully serviced and also waxed so it's extra shiny.

I was planning to buy a cheap snorkel and do it myself considering it's an easy pen to repair but this one was at about the same price for less the burden.

That's a real beauty! Congratulations!

Very nice!

Although I'm not sure I'd agree with you on Snorkels being "easy to repair", given they've got the most convoluted fill system on the planet.... :o

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

I was at the Colorado Pen show and pens kept appearing before me that were amazing!

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Well, i haven't done any repair on a snorkel but from watching a few videos it doesn't seem that hard.

The only hard part would be the crimped sac protector i guess ?

Gotta make sure you don't break it.

Might be a friction fit, so all you'd have to do is pull it off.

The fiddly parts I encountered with TM snorkels was getting the old sac out of the protector, and convincing the replacement rear barrel seal O-ring to pop into its slot - a dental pick and some silicone grease helped with this. You'll also need a long thin flat-blade screwdriver to remove the plunger knob so that you can remove the plunger tube to get access to said O-ring.

In other news I just bought an OMAS 361 from everyone's favourite money extractor, ebay. It'll take a few weeks to arrive from Italy but hopefully it'll be worth the wait.

I just bought 4 Platinum Meteor Shower pens on a very vague internet recommendation. They're nice colors and fairly cheap on AliExpress, so whataya gonna do?

Do I need 13 inked up pens? Perhaps not. Will I ink up those pens anyway? Absolutely 😄 (it was new ink day today, too)

Osmia Supra Extra Lux (circa 1930).

Made by the Osmia after the period when Osmia was owned by Parker. When Parker owned them, Osmia produced Duofold pens, subbranded Parker-Osmia Heidelberg. After this period, the Duofold style was kept, but the Osmia Logo and branding was added.

Large 14k nib (about #6), flex. Button filler. Very good pen, I think.

This beauty is from Bob Russ. https://www.instagram.com/russ_pens/?hl=en He only has one arm but does the most amazing polishing of any of my demonstrators. I've loaded this pen up with a highlighter ink mix and I'm using it daily.

Osmia pens were very good quality, with wonderful nibs. That looks like a beauty.

Wow, I don't know if I could choose between that superb Osmia and the lovely pink demo.

I picked up a lapis Osmia out of a box of pencils and crayons at a sale once... one of the pens that set me off on the slippery slope! They really are gorgeous pens and I love the neat lozenge logo on the cap - the same idea as the MB birdsplat but rather more to my taste.

Too many pens, too little time!

It is allegedly red, but I think it is pink and under black light, it is ORANGE.
