A couple of boxes of Mudie's Squeezer Pen - the one of plain steel nibs, the other of gold-coloured.

Nice load of pens. Esterbrook Safari, right?

Any of the specialized nibs?

This arrived today and after a good bath and scrub up...

It's a Barlei Extra, Spanish and I got it from a seller in Morocco.  I think it's late fifties and appears to be something of a cross between an Onoto K1 and a Sheaffer.1690396912601.thumb.jpg.0a322a461a4e92d51c243c2d01b647f6.jpg

Interesting.  What sort of fill system does it have?

Well, it came and it’s a pretty pen. Feels great in my hand, but it skips and needs some pressure to start writing. It’s going back to Endless Pens for them to check it.  We’ll see what they say.

I'm curious, what ink did you use?

Now, that's a most interesting pen, has almost everything, piston, ink window, hooded nib, open nib... I had never seen anything like it. Great find! My congratulations.

If you are to be ephemeral, leave a good scent.

Robert Oster Spearmint and then after a good cleaning I used Diamine Sherwood Green. Looking at the nib with a loupe, one of the tines doesn’t look right.

M2 is a squeeze filler

A-101 is a squeeze filler

CA-101 is a cartridge filler

Deluxe pens were all lever fill.

thanks for the information.

if you ever need old form cartridges or some other screw-in nibs, PM me. I think I have some squirreled away somewhere.

Enjoy your pens. I am beginning to divest myself of much of my accumulation.

Got these two today locally...

Probably won't keep the Moore Self-Filler but got it on a whim to see if I could fix it up, and it's been a while since I saw a Moore pop up locally.

Also another Blue Touchdown in more or less user-grade condition that was heavily coated in dried ink inside. Currently cleaned and disassembled (I don't normally knock the nib/feed out on these, but wanted to get the feed and grip into the USC with the amount of heavy ink was on it). Mainly grabbed it because the nib point was on the thicker side and I usually end up with EFs on this model.

A lightly-used Pelikan M605 Stresemann with fine nib. I've been thinking about an M600-sized Pelikan for a while, so when this older Stresemann with its translucent stripes came up, I decided to bag it.

it might be my last purchase, though. This'll take up the last free slot in my pen chest.

Not a fountain pen but a silver Parker Duofold mechanical pencil.

Sounds to me like it's time to get a new/larger pen chest!

How big is your current one?
