What Was Your Last Impulsive Pen Acquisition?

A PenBBS 535 'Year of the Ox' bulk filler with fine nib. I'm interested to see how the filling system performs and I fancied a new ugly pen, so this fit the bill perfectly.

A red Sailor Lecoule... it's been in my Amazon cart for days while I watched the price go down.

Tonight, at my local pen club -- a restored Esterbrook SJ, white with white finials (1555 Gregg nib).

Now inked up with Quink Permanent Blue.

"It's very nice, but frankly, when I signed that list for a P-51, what I had in mind was a fountain pen."

Haven’t bought a new pen in ages, but Endless Pens had a great deal on a Leonardo Momento Zero today. I couldn’t resist. Hope I get one with a good nib.

I just bought a Geha Schulfüller, it was here in the US and was purchased in 1952 (although I wonder about the veracity of the date, as the cap doesn’t look like the 1952 models) and stayed within the family. I’m unsure of what model it is, but looks like a single clip ring, most likely gold plated nib, blue ink window. It’s a 70something probably, from looking at the Ruettinger site. I have fallen in love with this brand and buy them when I can.
To add to my mad money purchases, my friend Stewart showed up to our monthly pen club meeting with a case of Parkers for sale. I found a lovely 15 flighter.

My last impulsive purchase(s) were two pens that I have wanted for years.

One is a Lamy 2000 that my local store had taken in used. They say it has a M nib, but it looks/feels to me like a chonky.
The other is an Edison Collier. I have been drooling over Brian’s products since he went full time into making pens.  It is everything I hoped it would be.

Last one was just now - a Stephens Royal 270. I know nothing about this version but I do have a couple of 270 Leverfils and a 56 stud filler, so I'm curious to see how this compares.

I placed the order a day or two after my birthday, which my wife forgot, for two Pilots.  The first had been sitting in my cart for a while, a red tips Prera Iro-Ai with CM nib, and the second a myca grey Decimo with a fine 18kt nib, for which I additionally purchased a stub nib unit.

Side post: is there a place where I can find out about Stephens models, or an expert I can consult? I have one with no branding except the Stephens name on barrel and on nib, plain black plastic, and the end of the barrel unscrews to become a stud or button filler.

a great thread here.

Thank you very much for the link. I don't know how I can have missed that thread in my searches.

Local Antique Store Find, the persian blue touchdown (again, this time the non-white dot model with a FT#5), and an Esterbrook 9668 nib.

Had it all disassembled, cleaned, polished up, and sac'd... til I realized, I only have the larger o-rings left... gonna have to wait til I can get some small o-rings 😕 (gonna be like 20 just to get some and shipping)

These are breathtaking,  Karl- especially the inlaid nib. The color of the first pencil is so bright and cheerful on my screen. Thank you for sharing your gorgeous pens and photography skills with us. Has this lot visited the Blue Pen Club thread?
