Looking forward to it. I am really curious about the performance of the new one.

Just bought a Crescent demonstrator from "Speerbob" (excellent experience - always) and am expecting its arrival on Monday. tomorrow.

Let us know how you like it.

I keep looking at crescent fillers, but then the price tags stop me.... :wallbash:

The New York Metro Pen Show treated me very well yesterday! I walked out with a blue Pelikan M800, a Pilot e95s in burgundy, and a NOS 1980s Montblanc Meisterstuck rollerball, all while still having money in my checking account!

All I know is that it's a Sheaffer Balance Lifetime and its small so a Lady or a Junior.

It's golden brown and 1936 or later. It has a beautiful nib, smooth but controlled.2028839978_SheafferBalance.jpg.045b17a829f8ceba2d15ae0a8fa8bb3f.jpg

Very nice little thingy.

You might be able to narrow down the model options with this:

And then I saw a picture of the Monteverde Invincia Deluxe Abalone with gunmetal trim and black nib and thought, well, yes, that will do.

The shape reminds me of a Diplomat Aero.

I have got two of those, too - and yes, there are some similarities regarding the shape. Although the section seems to be noticable slimmer (I haven´t measured the sections but that´s what it feels like). The slim (and very slick) section is the only thing I am not particularly fond of, I would have liked it to be a little more girthier. But then again I am still perfectly able to write with it, so I guess I´ll just live with the slim section and enjoy the rest, for example the 1.1 stub nib.

And something new here, arrived today straight from London:

Conway Stewart 60L Red Herringbone from the 1950s with a stub nib.

That red herringbone pattern just screamed at me "You want me and you know it!"

The pen? I don´t know yet, still need to ink it up and test it. But the colour and the pattern were coming in loud and clear. 😂

Thank you all.

Update: I have inked it up and the nib is a manifold, presumably an F stub. Stiff but buttery smooth. It glides across the page without skipping even once. Love it.

My last impulsive pen purchase is the 1.1 nib Speedball fountain pen I purchased during a recent visit to an art supply shop.  It cost me the outrageously dear, princely sum of $7.  Plastic, cheap, and a surprisingly nice pen to use.

Yeah, if I had seen that pen, I'm sure it would have been screaming the same thing at me!  The herringbone pattern in red is GORGEOUS!

Ok not a fountain pen but Shawn Newton is making some really cool ball points and I had to have this one! It matches the bindes that he put on two of my Pelikans.
