Xlnt - looks like you got most of the ink in the pen! :D

There are days when the ink goes in the pen, instead of all over my hand. Good days those. I’m getting better at using the Ink Miser, and Pineider ink pot.

A 26mm nib with a Naginata-style grind which should, hopefully, fit a Jinhao 992. I have lots of those pens - mainly used for drawing because they seal well and I'm not out much if the pigmented ink does clog or I lose it when out sketching. I'm always keen to try a different nib and this one, a search here suggests, is the same style grind as the Long Knife I already have on two pens - a Hong Dian and a Kaigelu - both of which have greater value to me as individuals so do not get to go outside. And if a pigmented ink is used are cleaned when I'm finished. I was unsure about the 26mm nib, cos to me the pictures looked different, the tipping more bulbous than long. Only one way to find out...

To get fast shipping I needed to add something else to the cart. And right 'on topic' found a 992 that's hooded AND fude. Might be just the thing for those inks that seem to dry too quick on the nib for those us who are a bit slow in the thinking department.

So that's my fun budget for the week and since I spent so little on art materials ordered a book: 'Gustav Klimt: Landscapes' by Koja.

Will work for pens...

That pairing of ink-&-pen is highly pleasing 😊

All my fountain pen purchases are well considered and thought out, as I only use them for drawing. But I also wanted to have a cheap and sturdy fountain pen that could be easily put in my pocket and would be indestructible. So I spontaneously bought a Kaweco Bronze Sport F. But after a day I changed my mind, because the beautiful pen was too heavy for me and exchanged it for the pleasant 7 grams lighter Steel Sport. After trying 5 different nibs, I found a perfect EF.  It is now my EDC pen with a self-extended ink cartridge that holds 1.1 ml of ink.

What is your "self-extended ink cartridge?" How did you get it to hold 1.1 mL of ink? My Kaweco Sports only take the short international cartridge which tops out at about 0.8 to 0.85 mL. Having them hold more ink would be great. :W2FPN:

On a sacred quest for the perfect blue ink mixture!

I've found that the Brass Sport has larger barrel capacity than the AL Sports. Maybe that is the same with the Bronze Sports.

If you are to be ephemeral, leave a good scent.

A Stephens lever-fill... something. Bought on eBay, the advert described it as a 106 but all photos show a 270. Either way the price was more than reasonable and I'll find out for sure when it arrives.

A Gioia Alleria, even though I've never even seen one in real life, because I've been curious about them ever since I first saw the name (who wouldn't love a pen named Joy?) and now Fontoplumo had them on sale last week. I also opted for a cursive italic grind from their nibmeister, which I have also never done before, just because @dms525 has mentioned them on here several times. So I now have a pen I don't know with a specialty grind from a nibmeister I don't know coming soon (hopefully). Love to live dangerously here! :lticaptd:

I was indeed tempted to get the light blue one but the burgundy won out in the end 😁

Number 3....one more to go.  The nib on this one is a custom nib from John Mottishaw, according to the seller.
