Nice score!

I'll admit that I went with more "known quantities" for e-businesses, and then looked to see what else the various places had that was on my want list.  And that included the two ink samples I couldn't easily get elsewhere.

But I'm now going to have to check out the Endless Pens website and see what else they have....

Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

Ruth, I got my Lamy Z57 nib there for much cheaper than other places and they were super prompt and vey nice. I’m actually thinking of ordering another for the cp1 from them.

When I switched the nibs, I ended up breaking a feed and collar.  What a silly thing todo.

You switch nibs all the time!  I'm sure it wasn't you.

And those are a bunch of beautiful colors to add to your rainbow of a collection! :) I'll forgive your prejudice against the finer nibs.

I decided that I 'need' a medium nib Onoto.  I have three Onoto pens now including a broad nib (black) Scholar.  The Scholar I ordered yesterday will have a medium nib.

To be honest, I'm a Conway Stewart fan, but the Onoto pens have become a personal favourite.  They are just a wee bit better.  I only wish Onoto would come out with re-issues of a few their vintage models as Conway Stewart has.

I was reading your written notes, 1st post, 2nd post, 3rd post, and thinking, dang, this guy talks about how he got those pens with a back story, written with the pen that he purchased, and he didn't even post the pictures of the pens??

Luckily, the 4th post are the pens..!   But where's the Laban?

One of the wonderful things about Amber is that she teaches patience with love, compassion AND IN COLOR 😃🙏🥰

Both these makers are often in your posts! In which way do you find them a wee bit better?

The Onoto pens can be left unused for days and won't dry out.  I can't say that about a Conway Stewart pen unfortunately.  That to me is a plus for Onoto and the reason it is a wee bit better.   Conway Stewart and Onoto pens are all excellent pens, and I'm definitely happy wirh both.

This is a quality I value in pens.  Quite a bit.

The colours are inspired by Loch Ness and the environs.

Congratulations Paul

The 'environs' colourway is beautiful with a 'mist and moss' feel.

I love this elegant looking pen!

'Pure class' if I may use this term.

I’ve bought Z55, Z56 and Z57 nibs for all of my Lamys at Endless Pens and they’ve all been excellent right out of the box(es).  I use an ef Z57 on my CP1 and it’s fantastic.  I was hoping to pick up another Z55 but they sent out a 35% off Lamy text and, at just over $60, they must have sold out in seconds.  Maybe next time.

EF. :)

My 2000F is my all time favorite pen but I wasn’t thrilled with my EF 2000 when I first received it.  I’m glad I didn’t get rid of it.  I started using again recently and have fallen in love.  It seems to have gotten smoother with use.  That’s the pen I’m taking to Italy for sketching.  Really looking forward to the experience.

I managed to snag a Z56 EF for $50 all in for either the cp1 or the Ocean Blue AL-Star. It’s a ridiculously good deal.

Sprang for a Lamy 2000 w/ OM nib during Endless Pens sale on Friday. With the discount the price was quite good.

Good thing I'm afraid of those older pens. Oh, they're new...

I - stupidly! - looked at their website

I urge you to not be so rash/foolhardy - they have some very attractive designs!

Wow!  That was a great deal.  Congratulations.  They were sold out of all their gold nibs 40 mins after I received the text.  Probably just as well.  After I placed a few previous orders with them my wife began calling them “Endless Packages”.

but I make a custom ink tank for it that functions like a converter but you can't see either end, so looking at the barrel it appears to be an eyedropper, and holds a LOT of ink.

Jon, we need to talk!!!  An ink tank is part of my fantasy pen.

Fountain pens are my preferred COLOR DELIVERY SYSTEM (in part because crayons melt in Las Vegas).

Create a Ghostly Avatar and I'll send you a letter. Check out some Ink comparisons: The Great PPS Comparison

Don't know where to start?  Look at the Inky Topics O'day.  Then, see inks sorted by color: Blue Purple Brown Red Green Dark Green Orange Black Pinks Yellows Blue-Blacks Grey/Gray UVInks Turquoise/Teal MURKY
