Really sharp looking pen. any information on the brand?

On a different tack...

I like the furniture too. And, yes, is does remind me of a nice Windsor knot.

It make me curious as to why so many of the men that I see on TV use a half Windsor rather than a full Windsor knot.

To me it looks somewhat "ass"imetrical and off balance.

Not really. Will said he was unable to locate any, although he says there are the words "ink trap" on the top of the cap. Doesn't really sound like a brand. He put a nice 14k Waterman nib in it to replace a meh steel nib.

My last impulsive pen acquisition?

0300 this morning: Endless Pens was offering a fantastic preorder price on the Lamy AL-Star Petrol and Lilac pens: USD26.00, but with an extra 20% off online coupon, it went down to USD20.80.

When I saw the price difference, I decided not to wait but buy them on the spot.

And threw in a Platinum Preppy 02 because that’s what I was actually shopping for…

And then added a roll of washi tape …

AND THEN managed to click “Pay” and get out of there! LOL!

Two within a couple of hours. First, there was a discussion about a new Chinese 'clone' (the nice term for "rip-off"), an Asvine V126. The pen is virtually identical to a Pilot 823 and one model is even in a similar brown; this one is a frosted transparent, similar to both Opus and Leonardo pens.

The second came this morning, when I had just opened eBay to my usual search. Lo and behold, a Bexley Prometheus in identical material to one I have. I LOVE this pen for not only the ergonomics, but I make a custom ink tank for it that functions like a converter but you can't see either end, so looking at the barrel it appears to be an eyedropper, and holds a LOT of ink. These haven't been made for years, so I was really lucky to see it an punch the "BUY" button (it was not an auction).

Not really impulsive, but just pulled the trigger on this:

My first thought when I saw this post was “where does one buy an axial-turbined veeblefetzer… 🤔” - but then I realised that you weren’t talking about the drawing

😉

Luckily for my wallet, I fear lever-fill pens. Even pretty ones.

Nice score!

I'll admit that I went with more "known quantities" for e-businesses, and then looked to see what else the various places had that was on my want list.  And that included the two ink samples I couldn't easily get elsewhere.

But I'm now going to have to check out the Endless Pens website and see what else they have....

When I switched the nibs, I ended up breaking a feed and collar.  What a silly thing todo.

And speaking of clutch rings: Just now (as reported in the "What Parkers Have Joined Your Collection Lately?" thread): I was more-or-less idly browsing through the inventory at an online pen shop, and I saw a Parker 51 Vacumatic double-jewel in Nassau Green, at a price I could justify because it's been a month since I bought a pen, so I grabbed it. Now for the waiting, since it's coming from overseas.

This sweetheart has finally arrived. It is in beautiful condition, especially the cap. I can feel the incised vertical line crisply on my fingers when I spin it around. Sorry the color isn't coming across accurately, the actual color is sort of a medium teal.

I was reading your written notes, 1st post, 2nd post, 3rd post, and thinking, dang, this guy talks about how he got those pens with a back story, written with the pen that he purchased, and he didn't even post the pictures of the pens??

Luckily, the 4th post are the pens..!   But where's the Laban?

Good thing I'm afraid of those older pens. Oh, they're new...

Thanks! I think they're an excellent value- I've only used them with converters, still haven't eyedroppered on. If I find just the right ink combo that may be a possibility.

LOL I totally get that question- There's actually no discernible smell to them!
