This will be my pocket/traveling pen so I will be using cartridges in it. I ordered 2 packs ic100 black/blue.

For cartridges I would have no hesitation!  The brown is pretty decent, too.

I just got this back from Ron Zorn.  My first Sentinel Deluxe.  I usually see these pens in a Crest scenario.

Congratulations @gweimer1

Looking at this stunning pen has been a highlight of my day!

Thank you for sharing this pic. What a beauty!

I've rarely seen such an appealing combination of colour and shape. I would love to see more of this pen.

It is quite remarkable.. (to my taste)!

Best wishes.

Hey yall- I'll post pics when they arrive, but I got my third Ranga Abhimanyu from Peyton Street Pens, this one in blue white and black mottled ebonite with a flexible Jowo EF nib. We'll see how that nib performs... I'm fully prepared to swap the feed. I also got another Desiderata pen, a Soubriquet in "Toxic Topaz" acrylic, fitted with a Zebra G. That'll be my fourth from Desiderata. I love his pens..

And the three pens I ordered recently have all arrived!

The two Lamys (this year's Lilac al-Star with an M nib, and -- for my husband -- a regular Blue Safari with an EF nib), plus converters for both pens, arrived this afternoon (only about 3 days LATE with NO explanation by the USPS), along with a couple of ink samples and a couple of Parker Twist converters.

And then (as an added bonus ) the Parker Vector I got on eBay from a vendor in the Netherlands -- which was NOT expected to arrive for at least six WEEKS(!) -- ALSo arrived in the same mail!

So looks as if I'm going to be doing preliminary flushing tonight.  Oh, just realized I may have to run back out to the grocery store because I think I'm low on distilled water.... :headsmack:

I must have got your days. My Petrol Al Star arrived Friday. Today was the original estimate.

I only went to give a thumbs up feedback cos my Jinhao 86 arrived way faster than promised and it's a nice looking pen. And I very impulsively put a bid on an auction that was about to finish. Now have a Lamy 2000. Oops.

Will work for pens...

Oh hahaha! Which nib?

Well, after deciding I would get the new Lamy Al-Star in Lilac as a present for my daughter, I decided to get the Petrol colored one for myself too. Then, because I had a discount code and I'd also get free shipping, I threw in a Pilot Decimo (I regretted selling my first one).

Not breaking any new ground with these purchases, but I think I'll enjoy them all the same.

My last purchase can't be considered impulsive as I sat a full 24h before I went for the Pilot Metal Falcon.

Are the Abhimanyu as cool in person as they look online? I was looking at that model and the 4cs with the Imperial nibs.

@Penquincollector I think they look great! I get the smallest size with no clip, and I think they're fantastic. I've got a green ripple, a limited red and yellow ripple, and this latest one is blue, cream and black- it's the "premium" ebonite, and I can tell that it's finished to a higher polish. Very nice. The fit & finish of the premiums is also evident with all the threads, which are a little smoother, and spin freely.

The look and line of these pens is balanced. They have a long grip section, and they feel fine to my large hands either posted or unposted. They're fairly light, which I like as well. Handmade ebonite for under $100 with dependable nibs? Oh yes.

I've posted the pics here- I got my first two with 1.1mm Jowo stubs, which I love, and this latest one I got with the new Jowo flex F. (Not a fan!) I'm going to grind that F to a stub.

Not really impulsive, but just pulled the trigger on this:

I shall have to make an impulsive pen purchase to assuage my envy. And I know just what it's going to be.

And my stab back at envy was with a Visconti Manhattan LE in shades of green (how appropriate). It took a couple of days to finalize the deal from halfway across the world, but I am promised it will be shipped tomorrow (or "today" in that time zone, as I write) by express carrier, so not too many more days to receive it. Photo TK (that's advertising jargon for "to come").

Nicely done, Will. Unusual hardware - the pen looks like it's wearing a four-in-hand tie!

Really sharp looking pen. any information on the brand?

On a different tack...

I like the furniture too. And, yes, is does remind me of a nice Windsor knot.

It make me curious as to why so many of the men that I see on TV use a half Windsor rather than a full Windsor knot.

To me it looks somewhat "ass"imetrical and off balance.

Those do look great! I have another question, a kind of weird one- what do they smell like?
