I may have purchased a Parker Duofold because it seemed to be a low bidding auction. We'll see how this gamble goes.

Just accidently purchased an updated Jinhao 159 because £4.  Now my 149 won't have to worry when I'm on the train/plane/boat and places in-between.

My last (i.e., most recent one?  I'll know by Friday....  Bid on a pen on eBay a couple of days ago, and so far am the only bidder....  So I might get lucky and get it for the minimum bid.

A clear Noodlers Creaper. I was eyeing up the TWSBI vac mini for trying out clear demonstrators, but got a severe attack of the cheapskates.

@mallymal1Yeah, got my fingers crossed.  Not precisely what I want -- but close enough, and certainly inexpensive enough.  And a seller I've had good experiences with in the past.

For what they are, the Noodler's Creaper pens are not bad writers, although I prefer the larger Konrads.  I wish that Noodler's would make more of those in ebonite -- I LOVE mine.

it's not here yet, in fact the impulsiveness struck just minutes ago...

I was idly refreshing the "Pilot CON-W" search I leave a tab open to on that auction site (there was a slow moment at work, between customers) and up popped a poorly worded auction for what at first seemed to be a wooden ballpoint pen only, however the term 14K was in the auction title and upon inspection, the pictures clearly show a NOS Pilot Custom Grandee Kaede set with a medium nib fountain pen and button actuated ballpoint, in an immaculate box, with papers and a sealed packet of two ink cartridges!

...for an altogether too reasonable "buy it now" price!!

if all is as pictured, I'll be ecstatic...

...got my FedEx tracking number (fast for a Japanese seller IME and great communication so far).

I can't wait!!

David-

So many restoration projects...

@mallymal1 will remember me saying "my first M800' a few days ago.

Tomorrow my 'first' 400NN will land.

To nest is becoming very snug and full of feathers.

But I'm not 'down' about it! 😃

Another NOS (with  converter) slim Targa, a later, non-Triumph nib in matte black with gold trim. Because I had a $50 ebay gift card.

It's hard work to tell which is Old Harry when everybody's got boots on.

Today I spent too much money yet again. In an idle moment, I was perusing the goods at Atelier Lesoon (recommended in another topic somewhere on here), and found a Parker 51 in Nassau Green (allegedly, fingers crossed, and item returned if it is mis-identified), and an Oversized Vacumatic, both items which I have been inactively seeking for a while. Bought them on the spot. I may be digging into savings (again) to cover this little purchase.

I finally found the Badtz Maru Sailor again. I bought one earlier this year, but the seller damaged it while packing and returned my money.  This one is NOS, but upon receipt I think there’s a hairline crack on the section. This started me on a mission to find clear candy pens. I bought another, but that one is a skinny Chalana based body, while the Badtz Maru pen takes regular cartridges. So I just bought 2 more clear candy pens that I aam pretty sure are the same later style as the Badtz. But now, since slim pens are my thing- I really want a gold nibbed Chalana.  (The pictures are from the bay, I have Covid and going upstairs right now is a mission)

Recently ordered a Pelikan M101N Grey/Blue with a broad nib. Sorta an impromptu gift to myself.

Great pens, @Paul-in-SF!

In my view, Atelier Lesoon have fantastic vintage pens especially from French manufacturers, Mallat, Stylomine, Le Bayard, Unic, Gold Starry, etc. Worth checking especially if you like different vintage nibs (18k, many springy and flexy) and smaller pens (with some notable exceptions).

@DvdRiet, what do you think about l'Atelier😄

Not exactly inexpensive, but I bought a beautiful burgundy JIF-Waterman's Standard pen and pencil set (the one with the over-the-top military clip) and my very flexy no-name 1950s French pen with an 18k Edacoto nib from Thierry last year. Very pleased with the quality of the pens and everything was in complete working order, including a new rubber support for the Waterman's glass cartridge (which came filled with a lovely, rich blue ink). We also somehow had a LOT of communication back and forth (in English), and his replies were always fast and friendly. One day I hope to visit the atelier on the outskirts of Paris...

Oh, and I still have a commissioned pen from Alexandre Duboc, with whom Thierry shares his atelier, on my wish list...

I have a couple of opaque Creapers so I know what I'm in for. I may take up the suggestion of the Konrad for the reason you give; as a halfway house between the Creaper and Ahab. I like my Ahab but it's such an unexpectedly big chunk of vegetal resin that it feels I'm compensating for something.

My latest acquisition is (ahem) a new 3 Wt. fly rod for small river fishing -- soon to be accompanied by an on-order new reel.

Sorry. (not really)
