Removing Inner Plastic Of Cap On Parker Vector

How do you remove the plastic plug in the cap of the Vector fountain pen? The pen was stolen by and when recovered the cap clip was loose. I intend to remove the inner plastic plug (with applied force) but fear that I will do worse.

 

Is it just a question of applied force or is there a technique?

Use a needle to take off the black sticker on top of the cap and you ll find a screw.

Screw it tighter and the clip should tighten too. Replace the sticker (maybe with a bit of glue) and you should be fine.

Thanks it worked. What I assumed was the plastic insert was a sticker covering the screw
