I never know what's going to happen with an eBay auction - which is the same Principle of Inconsistant Results that makes gambling so attractive. But this time it resulted in a little green celluloid Swan ringtop - the moiré style that I've seen elsewhere for much more money.

Something to look forward to.

I saw that one. It is not the Moire, but one of the pens "in rich and exquisite colors". The Moire only came in the ring top and have colored celluloid bands for decoration. The other colors come in full sized with clip, "B" sized with clip, or lady/ringtop. Your exact pen is in the box at the top. Jade with gold bands. I love these. Still need some of the moire colors.

Thanks for the info - what a pretty thing!

Despite the inherent risks, I wear one of these things every day.

I use the sort of lanyards that they put on ID cards and flash drives - they're not particularly glamorous but they work well in the context of an office.

One of my old Moores came with a black and red silk ribbon, which was how Miss Lemon wore hers when she worked for Hercule Poirot. When the red and black Moore comes back from the shop, I'll have to put them together.

My little jade pen arrived today...in decent enough shape to fill. Medium nib with some nice flex; a little bowing of the right tine...sign of a right-handed user. The lever's a little wobbly, so must be careful.

It's a nice little instrument...I like the lightness of the celluloid body.
