Any Pelikans That You Wish Were Available In A Different Size?

I guess I'll stick my neck out and say that I'd like to see some of these finishes in the M400 size. In particular, the burnt orange and the Stresseman. Jeff

I guess lots of people would like to see those in the M400 (including my wife).

I would love to own:-

1. M800 brown tortoise in red cap & knob;

2. M800 brown tortoise in both cap & barrel; and

3. M800 creme or grey lizard (same colour of 1930-40s era & not the M101N!) in both cap & barrel.

These would sell like candy. I have a weakness for tortoises, thus if these ever came out I would be basically "forced" to buy them.

Hi,

I adore the M640 Sahara design, yet I wish Pelikan would've included a White Sands design in that model.

Bye,

That's a cool idea. The M640 are really nice - the Mt. Everest was the first bird in my collection and it reproduced really quickly :) .

I have the M805 Stresemann and I love it,

But would love to have one in M605 or M405

It seems that the Stresseman finish in all the sizes would be very popular.

I'll certainly go along with an M1005 Stresemann, and I would dearly love to see M800 nibs that are springy like the M1000s.

What I would drool over would be an M800 in the Grand Place finish.

Wow, a Grand Place M800? That is a great idea. Although after the recent offering of the M201 Bayou, I don't think we will get this lucky anytime soon, unfortunately.

As for the nibs, the only reason I don't consider the M800 the perfect pen is because the nib is too stiff. A springy nib in it would make it absolutely perfect.

I would like to see a M600 Brown Tortoise*. I have the M400 in Brown, and love it. Now, if it were just a little longer...

I can't do the M600 White Tortoise cause I'll go mad seeing ink on the white parts - OCD acting up.

And I'll like more transparency in that Tortoise. This M400 of mine doesn't show the ink level all that well - definitely not as clearly as a White Tortoise.

*In today's size. There was a pre 1997 M600 Brown Tortoise released for the Japanese market that was the same length as a M400.

~Epic

I would like any brown tortoise. I don't really mind the size of the M400s, since I can write as comfortably with the M400 as with the M1000.

I understand the OCD thing. For me it is the demonstrator that triggers it: I learned it the hard way :) .

A universal sentiment. B)

:)

I like the size of the M400s, but I prefer pens with more heft.

I'd go opposite to what some people here have posted. *I'd* love to have a Stresseman in an M400 (the grey stripe binde is just really classy and elegant).

Also, a red tortoise in a 400 size. And, well, affordable....

I actually remember that you mentioned this when the M800 Stresseman came out. My wife would also love it. The red tortoise would be great too.

I think that more affordable pens is definitely what everybody would like to see. Unfortunately, I don't think there's any chance of that happening :( .

I spent much of my time having fun with a woodworking project this weekend. Coming here I can say that Sarge has pretty much spoken for me. There have been plenty of offerings in the M600 range recently, but for me more would be better, I would have trouble resisting an M600 Stressman, and I would absolutely be first in line for an M600 tortoise. How about a green lizard in M600? They'd get my money And please, offer us more variety in nib sizes, even if there is a premium for the privilege.

We've lamented the loss of all the interesting Pelikan nibs before. This is why I've accumulated as many nibs for my M1000 and M1050 as I can. My most outrageous one is a BB that I had stubbed by Pendleton Brown. If Pelikan would just make BBs available again, then customer could get the nibs ground to their preference by a nibmeister, and there would be no need to offer OB, OBB, etc.

Rationalizing pen and ink purchases since 1967.

Another vote for an M400 or M600 Stressemann. I'd be on that like a duck on a junebug.

With my big moose paw...all of them.

I sigh deeply when I see a new release smaller than the M800 size...

Pelikan 101 Lizard in a 800 sized pen. I love the look of the 101 recreations (this and the 'originals of their time' pens) but they are too small for my hands.

Best Regards, greg

Don't feel bad. I'm old; I'm meh about most things.

M600s tortoise and lizard would, indeed, be lovely.

I only recently tried a broader nib, as I usually went for EF and F. But I found a OBB M250 nib at a nice price, decided to give it a try, and I must say that I'm completely hooked. Now I would love to see more nib sizes than currently available too.

BBs would certainly be a step forward. But I would really like to see other sizes offered too (stub, italic,...), since I don't like the idea of having to wait a long time to get a pen back to me. Other brands still offer those nibs, so there must be a market for them. Let us hope Pelikan listens to us and start offering them again.

It seems that everybody would enjoy the Stresseman in all the ranges. Since it seems to be a regular production M800, perhaps they will eventually offer it in the other sizes (one can always hope...).

:)

This year must have been a good year for you then, since there were quite a few gorgeous new M800s.

Those would be great too (and probably pricey).

The lizard finish is indeed very beautiful and, apparently, popular. I would love a M800 lizard (Did Pelikan ever offered the lizard finish in pens other than 101 and M2xx?).

I also love the look of the 101N but never bought one because I fear they may be a tad too small (at least the pictures seem to indicate that they are smaller than the M200/400).

I would like the M600 brown tortoise as well in both rollerball and fountain versions (the grey brown finish of the recent m800) and an m605 clear demo.

Yes, a grey lizard finish as M600 old style (which I believe is a prototype).

A M600 Brown Tortoise would be lovely.

In fact, Brown Tortoises of any size would be great. Although I'm afraid if they had it in the M400 range my wife would not allow me to have it: it would be hers :) . I also like clear demonstrators, but my OCD...

Thanks for the info. The lizard ones are very cool, but except for the M101N very hard to find apparently (I don't even want to know the price of that M600 :) ). Maybe at some point I'll take a chance and try the 101N.

There were so many great ideas that if Pelikan were to produce half of them I would go broke (well, at the rate that I've been buying Pelikans, that may not be far off anyway :) ). Thank you all for contributing.

My dream Pelikan would be a M1000 in Tortoise Brown.

M1050 again please!

Or better yet M850s. And this would be a new one and not bump into the limited edition factor of the 1050. And springy nibs for the 800 series. And an italic fine for all the pen sizes... but specially for the 800... yes, my favourite size (but never tried an M1000, so don't know how those nibs feel)

And the M450 (green tortoiseshell) in 800 size... Wooow! Maybe it would get too ostentacious in the larger size, but... WOOOOW!!

Love the M2xx/M4xx size. A Stresseman would be great in it.
