Not bad :-)

Das leben ist wie ein Perpetuum Mobile mit ein Mangel..... Immer im Bewegung jedoch nicht unendlich. (life is like a troubled Perpetuum Mobile ever moving but not for ever)

Tricked throughout the centuries...

For centuries people had been tricked by kings & "religion-alism"

In the 20th century people got tricked by communism

Today people get tricked by (neo)capitalism :)

To me it looks like the color of the rust.

I would suggest (I used google translate for this): De Atramentis Rost or De Atramentis Old Rust (Alt-Rost?)

This color reminds me of two things:

1. Lucanus maculifemoratus taiwanus (female), could be nice to have an insect series anyway, and;

2. Bloodcrusts, this name will most likely not be a good selling point, and the picture on the label can't look as exciting as other labels by de Atramentis.

Hmmm

On my display it strikes me as organic. At first I thought perhaps a nut, then seeing the strong Red aspect, more like a fruit.

Nothing too literal.

Perhaps 'Winter Plum'?

Or a name from the Japanese palette? Perhaps Dr Jansen has conjured a shibui ink?

"Distinctly we see the difference of the colors, but where exactly does the one first blendingly enter into the other? So with sanity and insanity.”

— Herman Melville, Billy Budd

Shibui (渋い) (adjective), shibumi (渋み) (noun), or shibusa (渋さ) (noun) are Japanese words which refer to a particular aesthetic of simple, subtle, and unobtrusive beauty.

The current color clearly is Caput Mortuum;

Sepia should look like this:

the cat half awake

and half sleeping on the book

"Quantum Mechanics"

It just reminds me of Powidl, the Czech (and Austrian) name for plum marmalade...

Now, let's add some French flair: Powidl mystère!

Hmmm. How about "Earth's Blood" or "Earth's Heart"? It's got that dark red tone I think of for blood, but it's also got this sort of warm earthiness to the color.

Ruth Morrisson aka inkstainedruth

ETA: Oh, and when I think "sepia" I think of old sepia-toned photographs. So I did a quick Google search and found a website that talked about how (and why) sepia-toning was done on photos (most famously by Matthew Brady, who was, effectively, one of the world's first photo-journalists, taking pictures of Civil War battles and their aftermath); and here's a sepia-toned image from that site:

Eart blood sounds nice just like the photo thanks

Several other ideas:

Dark Caramel

Actually, the ink drop reminds me of a wonderful imperial stout or a nice malty porter. Inks are named after wines. Why can't they be named after beer?
