I hope the brass doesn't get rusted after a while. So far the feel's quite good. Almost identical to silver version except the top and bottom caps.

If it rusts it's not brass.

But if it isn’t coated somehow it will tarnish

Brass will patinate, but shouldn't tarnish with regular use.

Now you guys made me curious I have Sheaffer VFM and the pen was used daily for years when i was at Uni and the silver trim turned bronze so far and the lacquer started to chip at the end of the barrel. Now you got me thinking (dangerous i know), if it was worth to scrape off the lacquer and polish the pen material (brass I think).

 

Decisions, decisions.
