What is the weight of the Delike Alpha aluminium pen? I have read that the Alpha pen is heavy, so I'm feeling confused. Is the red one the only aluminium version?

The aluminum versions are the black, blue and red pens. Ironically, the aluminum colored pen is brass. :headsmack:

Here's what they weigh, the aluminum is much lighter than the brass version:

I think my husband needs a red aluminum one. Red is his favorite color.

Its my Cinese New Year gift to myself, after years of hoarding and trade ; I've finally collect the wole spectrum of colors fro my Hero 320 collection ... and here to Ian for they are heavy and they are metal

The Hero 320 is an upmarket early 90s model that's fashioned similar to the Hero 59 I've shown before but its got pretty heavy duty brass construction with cladding of celluloid ; in Black ( uncapped ), Blue-Black, Blue, Green, Amber-Brown, and Red ; only portion that's plastic is the section, the black finale and trim rig are lacquered brass, and instead of the plain clip or arrow clip it got a nice touch of an art deco clip ( gold plated ); use no.5 ( aka size 26 ) nib in EF ; C/C filling

Handsome pens and a photograph that captures the color differences. Nice collection, Mech-for-i.

Congratulations on completing your collection of those models! They look gorgeous, but definitely too heavy for my hand.

Nothing vintage or exciting, but I've got one of these coming in the mail:

This is the new 2018 "Reed Pipe" color with some nice fiery acrylic.

I got my husband the shiny chrome Delike Alpha and let him try it out before I got a picture. :crybaby:

He loves it.

Were you able get one of the red ones? They are already sold out on Taobao over here.

These are made by a little Chinese company and I'm not sure if they are available outside of China unless you can use Taobao:

https://item.taobao.com/item.htm?spm=a1z10.1-c-s.w14506963-16930989962.3.5e7f325amCi0sM&id=553174627442

These pens are fitted with a German Schmidt nib unit and the rest of the pen is Chinese.

My brand new JinHao x750 :D

It's also my first Chinese pen... so I was a right sod and took it to work and turned it into a wage slave for the day :D

First impressions were 'man this is a heavy pen'. Even with my big paws, it's not a pen you feel tempted to post. But it does feel nice in your hand, it writes nicely, and handled the recycled printer paper we use at work for notes with aplomb. Not bad for $7 delivered.

And I love the all silver look, like a 1950s sci-fi space ship (Buck Rogers would be proud to use it).

And I just realised that I don't have a photo of it with the cap fitted, which is the best look

The 'Live in You' pens are available on EBay.com. Also sold as LIY pens. There is a blue stripe version from the same blank as the FPN LE Conid Bulk Filler. They are relatively pricy, but look really nice. TruthPil, how does it write?

Regards

Richard.

Richard, mine probably won't come until the end of the week, so I'll post a writing sample and pics then.

The nibs are standard Schmidt nib units, so the writing experience should be the same as any other pen with a Schmidt nib. I ordered mine with a fine nib and it's my first Schmidt nib, so I'm eager to compare it with my collection of JoWo, FPR, and Jinhao nibs. I'm also curious to see if I can swap a JoWo #5 nib into the feed and sleeve, but I won't push it if it seems tight.

That blue striped version is what first caught my eye, but I just "needed" to have a fiery orange pen in my collection and this new one looks stunning. The pens are currently on sale on Taobao so I was able to get one for a little under US$30. Pics will be up as soon as it arrives!

They are charging $57 on Ebay, so while they look pretty, I feel like that is too mch to pay.

That's the full retail price in China, yet even the company itself never charges that much in their Taobao store. Definitely not worth $57.

I did say they were pricy...

I've never used Taobao, maybe it's time to look. I know Tomatech do CNC lathe controllers and they do have a presence on Taobao, maybe it'd be cheaper there.

Look what came today!

fpn_1520338737__p1090388_compressed.jpg

fpn_1520338867__p1090389.jpg

It came with a lot of stuff too: gift bag and box, 1 bottle of black ink, and 1 really nice multi-layer cloth pen sheath.

fpn_1520338692__p1090370.jpg

It writes wonderfully! My only complaint is that the acrylic has a couple stripes of bubbles or something in it that don't match between cap and barrel. It drives me nuts to look at whenever I turn the pen in my hand and see the mismatching lines. Other than that, a great product that works flawlessly right out of the box. This is my first Schmidt nib and I'm impressed!

Nice pictures! How do you like it??

It must be fun to be able to see the ink level all the way down to the end of the nib.
