Helen,

I so very much like these pens. I myself have the yellow one but the red one looks awesome too. I bought it from ebay xiongfu1990 (not affiliated) when Bobpage suggested it as a very wonderful Chinese pen with a fine nib and attractive looks. It writes awesome, it never skips and never dries even if left unused for weeks. It is light and the writing experience I can only compare it to my Pilot Lucinas that I have. The only thing that bothers me is that it takes 4 and a half turns to unscrew the barrel from the cap, which can sometimes be annoying when you are on the rush.

One more thing, the pen came only with a small cartridge, and I so badly wanted to use a cartridge converter with it. Funny thing, the only converter I could find to fit was the old Kaigelu 316 ink converter that I had kept following the Bock nib unit modification, which perhaps some people of this forum might know about.

All in all an excellent pen, here are some pictures below of the pen inked with Pelikan 4001 Tortoise ink mixed with a little green to make it kind of a teal shade. Regards,

Photios

So glad you are enjoying your pen. I remember the pen also came in a green & I think a brown color.

Don't worry, you're pictures are plenty good enough.

That nib looks very exotic. How does it write?

Bluey, it writes well. medium line, not to dry, not too wet -but it never skips. very firm, no spring what so ever.

i haven't seen these for a while. i wonder if they still make them?????

This is my Jinhao 750 that I took a drill press to last night and some sandpaper. Also put in a zebra flex nib.

Kind of puts me in mind of Mozart's Magic Flute.

Jokes aside for a moment, I think that you did a pretty good job of drilling those holes, and particularly appreciate the countersinking.

Just think of the fun that you could have had with a milling machine.

Thanks for sharing.

@ Ian the Jock (posts #3, 10, etc). Thank you so very much for taking the time to prepare this wonderful list of Chinese pens. I agree with you and follow your taste on most pen selections. frank66.
